More of the same. They will over charge these guys in an effort to try to dig up dirt on Trump. SOP.

Hilarious this whole set up hatchet con- job. Can the libtards answer this question: How do you account for the fact that the United States and Trump knew as early as February 2019 the Ukraine had already reopened the investigation into Hunter / Joe Biden?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy told reporters on Thursday that he and Trump “didn’t speak about” U.S. military aid to Ukraine during that phone call, and said “there was no blackmail,” when Trump pushed him to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, who is running for president.

Zelenskiy added that the phone call “wasn’t linked to weapons or the story with (Ukrainian gas company) Burisma,” which is at the center of the controversy involving Biden.

“’Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told reporters Thursday his controversial July call with President Trump involved no bribe, blackmail or quid pro quo, as impeachment-minded Democrats claim,’” Trump tweeted on Thursday,

Zelenskiy said he had not known that U.S. military aid to Ukraine had been blocked at the time of the call. Having been made aware of this by his defense minister later, he raised the issue during a separate meeting in September in Poland with Vice President Mike Pence. "I told him ... please help to resolve it," Zelenskiy recalls asking Pence. "And after our meeting America unblocked the aid."

He said Kiev was open to a joint investigation into Biden but added that Ukraine was an independent country with independent law enforcement agencies that he could not influence.

"There was no blackmail. This was not the subject of our conversation," Zelenskiy said about his call with Trump, speaking to reporters in a day-long series of televised briefings with the press, held at a Kiev food court.

Zelenskiy said there were no conditions attached to him meeting Trump, including whether he should investigate the activities of Hunter at Burisma.

Well, that was fast. It's being reported that the 2020 Dem Presidential candidate that the whistleblower had a "professional relationship" with was in fact Joe Biden.

Combined with recent reporting that a Ukrainian MP says that Joe Biden took $900,000 from Burisma, which is said to have supporting documents, I think reasonably people can agree that Joe's candidacy is dead in the water from here on and that Ukrainegate is at most going to be Russiagate 2: Go West.

Mitt Romney is stepping up after Trump just unleashed a withering assault on the 2012 GOP nominee over his refusal to rule out supporting impeachment. Over the weekend, Trump called the Utah senator a “pompous ‘ass,’” who is “so bad for Rs.” The president added that Romney was “playing right into the hands” of Democrats and tweeted out a video of him losing the 2012 election.

Trump’s allies are piling on. Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani said Romney was “bitter about Donald Trump” winning the White House. Conservative radio show host Rush Limbaugh told listeners that Romney is determined to “get rid of Trump.” And Donald Trump Jr. said that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is “much tougher than Mittens.”

The senator further infuriated the Trump team when he called the president’s appeal to China to investigate Joe Biden “wrong and appalling.”

jimjam has also learned from the right wing fair and balanced rag "America is Great Again" that Romney suffers from lose stools  .

As a matter of fact Russiagate hurt and is still hurting Trump and his approval ratings, even though the devastating blow was off. However, it may have been due time for something like Ukrainegate to keep USS Trump half-sunk until Election Day.

I wonder if Romney is really up to something or he's just trolling Trump.

Not just a partisan, but flew on Air Force II with Biden more than a few times. It's getting interesting, because more is coming out about the Ukraine corruption connection, and it's becoming clearer why the Democrats are acting so hastily.

BREAKING: Burisma Allegedly Paid Joe Biden $900,000 For Lobbying

I think where there's smoke, there's fire. It's more than the Bidens or the Democrats or a neocon like Romney wouldn't be so exercised. Romney has read the transcript and he knows full well that there is no violation of the law nor anything improper here. There is a reasonable basis for an investigation into Biden.

Willard thinks he would be the natural incumbent if Trump gets knocked down. Not a chance. I'd vote for Ihlan Omar before I'd vote for Romney at this point.

I think it's more than that. Pelosi is well-known for junkets that include family members. Obama never batted an eye, but she got into it with Trump during the shutdown fights and Trump cut her off of using Air Force planes. There was a rumor that her son was on the board of a Ukrainian company that the online censorship network has been quick to try to debunk. One of the memes was Pelosi was on the board of a Ukrainian energy company. However, a bit finer detail shows up here:

Paul Pelosi Jr. Alleged Ties To Ukraine
According to reports, Paul traveled to Kyiv, Ukraine in July 2017 for work as the Executive Director of a “Corporate Governance initiative” which was reportedly a position Pelosi Jr. accepted in February 2017. According to yournews.com, he indicate he was in Ukraine for the purpose of youth soccer. The American Mirror flagged and preserved the video of the appearance of Pelosi Jr. that was removed from YouTube.

Why would they be removing these videos from YouTube if they have nothing to hide? I mean, what could be so bad about a youth soccer partnership?

Beren wrote:I wonder if Romney is really up to something or he's just trolling Trump.

There was some talk that his son has Ukraine ties too, but we don't have any reliable reporting on that yet. I'm assuming Willard "Mitt" Romney thinks he would get the nomination if Trump were impeached. I think Trump would just keep running myself, and he would probably win again anyway.

The courage of those unwilling to be pawns in Trump's self-aggrandizement schemes is exactly what we need. While Trump supporters may revel in abuse and greed, the majority of this nation want to see honesty and accountability. Many thanks to Ms. Yovanovitch.

It looks like Trump has been working around what’s left of State Department professionals to deliver Ukraine to Putin. At first this seemed like just collateral damage to his attempts to get dirt on the Bidens and blame Ukraine for election interference in 2016. However, it’s looking more and more to be a conscious objective.

Mitt Romney was a "never Trumper" anyway. However, President Trump has never "appealed" to China to investigate Joe Biden. He at one time said that China should investigate what happened, but has never asked China to investigate Biden. He was even asked about it today during the press conference on the China trade agreement and he said, "No."

Right after the 16 minute point, the question is asked.

According to the federal indictment unsealed on Thursday, Mr. Parnas and Mr. Fruman “conspired to circumvent the federal laws against foreign influence by engaging in a scheme to funnel foreign money to candidates for federal and state office so that the defendants could buy potential influence.” They were arrested at Washington’s Dulles International Airport Wednesday evening, about to board an international flight with one-way tickets.( ) Earlier that day, the men were seen having lunch with Mr. Giuliani at the Trump International Hotel near the White House. The full nature of Mr. Giuliani’s relationship with Mr. Parnas and Mr. Fruman is unclear. Among other connections, Mr. Parnas helped found an aptly named firm, Fraud Guarantee  . On Thursday, Mr. Giuliani confirmed that he was retained by the firm last year to provide legal and business advice — but then he backtracked and said maybe it wasn’t Fraud Guarantee he worked for after all  .

jimjam wrote:The courage of those unwilling to be pawns in Trump's self-aggrandizement schemes is exactly what we need.

Trump has proven to be a very useful catalyst for exposing the machinations of the deep state. His self-aggrandizement, if that's what you want to call it, serves a useful purpose in exposing corruption in Washington DC--which does not seem to bother you anything like Trump does.

To me, seeing the Bushes and the Clintons unravel politically has been a wonderful thing. Watching Biden sink into the mire of his own corruption is a pleasure too. However, the intergenerational nature of it is part of what I would like to see coming to an end. People in Massachusetts for example seem to have no problem electing Kennedy after Kennedy. It's like North Korea. California's Democratic aristocracy is a little more nebulous, but it's there for anyone to see:

Gavin Newsom’s keeping it all in the family
Image

The courage of those unwilling to be pawns of the neoconservative/neoliberal Janus and ties to big money and big media is far more important for the United States and the world.

jimjam wrote:While Trump supporters may revel in abuse and greed, the majority of this nation want to see honesty and accountability.

Like watching the Bidens and the Clintons brought to justice. It's good to see you're finally coming around and taking your own advice to follow the money.

jimjam wrote:It looks like Trump has been working around what’s left of State Department professionals to deliver Ukraine to Putin.

How about just delivering Ukraine to the Ukrainians and liberating them from America's deep state and its pay for play scams?

Hindsite wrote:However, President Trump has never "appealed" to China to investigate Joe Biden.

Right. It's no different than his quip that Russia might have Hillary's deleted emails. It's not even a basis for a criminal investigation, because it's not even a crime. Yet, these people fall all over themselves.

jimjam wrote:According to the federal indictment unsealed on Thursday, Mr. Parnas and Mr. Fruman “conspired to circumvent the federal laws against foreign influence by engaging in a scheme to funnel foreign money to candidates for federal and state office so that the defendants could buy potential influence.”

We shall see. I've never heard of someone buying "potential influence." They buy it or they don't. At any rate, it makes clearer that hiring Biden's son was a way to circumvent campaign finance law while buying influence with Biden's office, just as donations to the Clinton Foundation bought the State Department while lining the Clinton's influence peddling scheme. The cynicism is boundless.

jimjam wrote:They were arrested at Washington’s Dulles International Airport Wednesday evening, about to board an international flight with one-way tickets.( )

Why is that so funny? You've never boarded a plane with a one way ticket before?
