@BigSteve Drlee has never been clear about anything...

@Drlee Sanders is not a classic socialist. He calls himself a democratic socialist. In any other country he would not even be see as particularly left wing. I actually look at what he proposes and all of his ideas would be seen as centrist in any European country. Maybe even a tad right of center by their standards.

I am sorry that this many words was just too much for you. Forget all the hard parts or those that require a working knowledge of the politics of other countries and just look at the bold part. Even you should not be confused by that.

@BigSteve Sanders won't be elected, but not because he's a socialist. Sanders won't be elected because he's a fuckin' lunatic with a cardiac problem...

Well boy howdy. Them's some pretty deep politics philosophy there I'm tellin' ya'. 'Sir buddy. That's too complicated for the likes of me.

I don't know how many times I've had to say this over the years, but if a person isn't advocating the public ownership of the primary means of production (Capital) in a society, then they are not a Socialist, they're something else politically. Almost everyone who says otherwise is an American, on the Right but also on the faux ''Left'', not quite sure why but it remains a brazen blot of ignorance in many otherwise intelligent human beings.

I found his posts about Sanders to be quite clear.

What policies are those?

Universal public health care, for one.

I see that it did not take long for you to lose your temper.

But your display of your anger is not the issue. The issue is the weird phobia that many US voters feel towards anything that is described as socialism.

;)

That is just a formality for judicial processes that apparently is not followed strictly in political procedures, like impeachments. Otherwise, President Trump would not have been impeached on hearsay testimony. It is already obvious to everyone that President Trump was unfairly impeached by partisan Democrats and that he will be found not guilty by partisan Republicans.
Praise the Lord.

Wait @Hindsite The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America administers and oath to sitting Senators that includes the words solemnly and ends So help me God is a formality and not serious.

Maybe you take an oath swearing to God without the intent to keep it but since I am a Christian, I do not.

You post some frankly silly trolls pretty frequently but this one is laughable. No doubt the corrupt republican senators had their fingers crossed. There constituents will not notice. They are not smart enough to.

It is nothing but a show trial. We all know how it is going to end.

The Republicans are no more corrupt than the Democrats. It is all a waste of time and money. The President is not going to be removed on hearsay and Democrat lies. Anyone in their right mind knows it is another hoax just like the Russian collusion sham. What you should laugh about are the two crazy articles of impeachment that mean nothing.

According to the GAO, the White House budget office violated the Impoundment Control Act, a 1974 law that limits the White House from withholding funds that Congress has appropriated.

Trump reportedly had McDonald's delivered on Thursday evening. This man will not be able to handle prison.

How come he wasn't charged for it?

Oh, I'm sure you did.

That only helps to solidify the belief that they're actually not clear at all...

Universal public health care, for one.

It's a nice idea, sure, but we'd never be able to pay for it. See, an idea is only "good" if it can work. I don't see "universal public health care" being a viable option, and many agree with me...

I see that it did not take long for you to lose your temper.

I didn't lose my temper.

Oh, wait, because I called Sanders a "fuckin' lunatic"?

THAT'S it??

LOL!!

My apologies to you, PoD, I had no idea you were so delicate. I'll opt for less verbose verbiage when conversing with you in the future...

But your display of your anger is not the issue. The issue is the weird phobia that many US voters feel towards anything that is described as socialism.

Again, no anger at all.

Second, we're not a socialist country, so why would we want things which are socialist?

Lmbo yeah whatever, nerd. Bernie Sanders is a socialist. He wants to give people free stuff. That's bad, or so I've been told.

Anyone can simply read Drlee’s posts for themselves and decide whether or not Drlee was claiming Sanders is a socialist.

Of course you can pay for it. It would actually cost less than what you folks already pay.

The amount of public money that the US spends on each person is more than what Canada does. You would actually save money by switching.

I didn't lose my temper.

If you go around swearing and insulting people, then yes, you are angry.

Second, we're not a socialist country, so why would we want things which are socialist?

Because they can make your life better.

But again, yiu folks are not just scared of socialist policies, but anything 5hat is even described as “socialism”, even when it is not.

There is no defense of Bernie Sanders plan, which doesn't address how it will get paid, doesn't address how high everyone taxes will go, or the quality of the health care, or what it would do to our debt, and the economy. They can't explain how the government is going to literally take over the healcare industry and force people to use plans and doctors they do not want. It escapes them that of course people would love health care to be more affordable and even free but that reality is a complete pipe dream or they would be able to explain these policies. All they have is virtue signaling to those who ask these basic questions.

It's sad even Biden understands this.

With all due respect, if My Friend can rephrase the idea like the following it will be much more realistic and reasonable:

Sanders' beliefs will never be accepted by the likes of me. Most people I meet or know, as well as myself, believe what he believes or wants are fuckin' lunatic, so he is never going to be elected. Besides, we are concerned with his health -- as far as I know he has a cardiac problem.

I can see My Friend wants to be efficient, and tries to convey the same idea with a much shorter sentence, but directing the attack on the person itself is by definition bad temper.

Biden had been vice-president himself. If he doesn't understand the mechanism then I will say he is simply not up to the job.

You babble.

Even poor Costa Rica has national health care, lots of poor countries do.

20% of health care dollars get pissed away doing paperwork.

No one is sure how much we can save on drug costs, if the country was able to negotiate the way so many other countries do. It would be a lot, but because drug companies are constantly raising prices, it's a moving target.

It also wouldn't kill insurance, since supplemental insurance plans already exist, if you want more coverage.

The problem is that health care reform is seriously complicated, and most are just like you.

They don't pay attention.

No, I'm really not.

I know a lot of people deserving insult, but uttering it as part of a debate argument is a totally different matter.

Edit: My Friend's use of such insult here clearly sparked widespread misunderstanding.
