Truth To Power wrote:No, thanks to property rights in the fruits of one's labor, and the fact that when capitalists steal land, the amount of land available for production stays exactly the same. By contrast, when socialists steal factories -- including bakeries -- it reduces the number of factories available for production.

You strangely sound like a good party cadre here, as if you are a commissar-in-reverse.

The Trump administration has taken the further step of withdrawing membership in UNESCO, effective December 2018.

He did it for jackass ignorant reasons but hey, I'll still take the win. Fuck the UN and fuck UNESCO.

UNESCO is an abomination.
It is supposed to be about cultural and scientific affairs yet it vomits political messages during every meeting, spurred on by the majority Muslim and Non-Aligned Nations in its membership and leadership. It has lost whatever moral authority it might have had at its conception.

Pants-of-dog wrote:Yes, you are scared of UNESCO and you feel this gives you the right to be rude.

It's so crazy that you think my rudeness is the problem here. You not only support a giant hoax that's being used to establish despotic control of all global resources and impose extreme austerity on the whole of the human race, you also just endorsed the imprisonment of anyone speaking out against that massive crime. If that doesn't call for a little rudeness then I don't know what does. When you dedicate your life to swindling people out of the wealth that all the generations that went before them bitterly struggled to create as their legacy then it's you who is the fucking problem.

Rudeness often clouds the reader's judgement, and sometimes the speaker's judgement as well.

I used to be very polite online. I used good grammar, proper punctuation, I was measured in both tone and rhetoric. Then I figured out that it doesn't fucking matter. They're not gonna listen no matter how you say it, it's a fooktard apocalypse and the fooktards are never coming off it.

If I don't care about those people I can simply stop talking or, if necessary, take actions against them.

I am learning to treat rudeness or anger as a tool rather than being dominated by either.

Your rudeness is not the issue.

Your lack of any argument is the issue.

"Governments must yield national sovereignty to multilateral authorities able to enforce laws “across environmentally invisible frontiers”

Science! doesn't want to dominate you. Science! doesn't want despotic control of global resources. Science! just wants to save you. Now just yield your national sovereignty to Science! so Science! can lovingly protect you. Science! loves you.

It's true. It was before I figured out that people can't be reasoned with because they're mostly a bunch of ideologically deranged liars and demented partisans that are all the way up their own asses about everything all of the time. Once I figured out what most fuckers are really about I just started talking shit and laughing at the giant absurdity that is people.

Maybe your expectations are wrong. Ultimately, you will never convince someone that they are wrong in short order on the spot. The most you can do is just plant seeds. Being rude/angry/aggressive actually makes it hard to plant seeds, as that attitude pushes people away and makes them less open to your thoughts. Thus, you might want to consider going back to your calm and measured approach.

I think there's definitely a place for that and if you watch how I operate you'll see that I don't come out of the gate with an attitude. The people I go after have all come at me first with smug condescension and derision. And even then I still try to reason with them. It's only after they repeatedly demonstrate that they have zero interest in reasonable honest dialogue that I'll start being less than polite. And it's not gratuitous on my part, I do it to show anyone who cares to know just how ridiculous and ignorant these people are with their bullshit. Really it's a public service I'm performing.
