President Donald Trump will close out his 36-hour trip to India Tuesday without striking a long-coveted trade deal to ease tariffs — but that won’t stop him from selling it as a victory.

The self-proclaimed master deal-maker is arguing that he is holding out for a bigger and better deal.

"I can't lose this, I can't lose it," Trump boasted Tuesday during a news conference before leaving India, indicating a deal could now come toward the end of the year. "You know what, I'll never lose it. it's too easy."

In the days before the trip, Trump’s team had indicated the president would sign a deal in India to address recent economic disputes between the two countries, caused, in part, by steps Trump has taken.

:?:

Looks like the self proclaimed "Best Dealmaker Of All Time" has fucked up again and, as usual, proclaimed it a great victory  .

After 3+ years this guy is getting quite boring and predictable. He could try to make a case of toe nail fungus sound good.

Really, the criticism against Trump is getting as repetitive and valueless as its target, if not more.

I do believe the best way to stop something is to react with the opposite of its objective. If Trump wants attention, make him ignored. Keep attacking him only entertains him and alienate the audience.

Very true.

I skip most of anti-Trump comments. Their basic point is anti-Trump. Nothing interesting to see.

Bernie is a threat because he is the smelling salts that are getting the public off the mat. He is also getting us back into the ring to fight the good fight. Health care for all is something we can accomplish. Affordable college and a living wage are things we can have. Fighting climate change and reforming the criminal justice system is something we can do. Raising taxes and cutting subsidies for corporations and the wealthy is not so far fetched. The TV was a tool used to scare and sedate whole generations. Those of us who choose not to live a frightened life, want to go back to the 1960s and pick up where our assassinated leaders left off.

FRAYER: So there was a lot of speculation about a possible trade deal. It's been nearly two years since the U.S. and India started slapping these tariffs on some imports from one another, and President Trump today cited tremendous advances towards solving that, but no deal. Instead, he said India signed a different deal to buy more than $3 billion of U.S. military equipment, including helicopters.

Bernie will beat Trump in November. His proposals speak clearly to the vast majority of working people's pocketbooks. Health care, living wage, affordable college, secure retirement, these proposals are not radical, they have all been implemented in other countries.

But the corporate media does not you want to focus on solving these problems we, as a nation, face. To keep us from acting together, they want us to be scared of each other, scared of public places, too scared to listen to reason.

When watching a news Network or reading newspaper headlines, count how many news stories are framed in a way as to instill the most fear. If watching MSNBC ,ABC, CBS, PBS, NPR or CNN recognize if they are fear mongering.

Why do you think FDR said, All we have to fear is fear itself? The corporate state did the exact same media strategy of fearfullness on the American citizenry back when he was campaigning. But the people of the US should never be made to be so afraid. So don't be scared, we can once again be the home of the brave.

Way cool!! Po folk over there can live in the helicopters and eat bombs.

This actually signifies progress though. America's war machine usually has to start a war to profit. We can now help other nations start wars.

OH! There I go again. I must be a "liberal" .

Bernie is quite old. He may die due to coronavirus infection or other illness even before winning presidential elections. Should he win, he will have hard time pushing his agenda through congress. His promises are a lie that cannot be realistically realized, not in US. Once he dies, there will be nobody else to carry on with his agenda.

True.

No, they're aspirational. It's something real presidents do.

Not yet.

Nobody told you? His supporters are the new generation. There will be millions..

Donna wrote:Different generations have different values.

Different generations have different shared experiences especially with regards to technology but their values change over time as they age and learn. They grow up and that is true for all generations so far. Kids are gullible, if an older authority tells them stuff they just believe it. They believe in Santa Claus if their parents say so and they believe in unicorn communism if a marxbot professor dictates it. Kids are biologically gullible because they need to learn a lot and they need to learn it fast. Critical thinking just gets in the way and slows you down so that does not kick in until later and it takes a long time to reach full extension, so kids do not do it but if you are not wise by 40 then well you probably are suffering from some kind of emotional or intellectual damage. So gullible kids is what gives the snake oil salesmen on the left the opportunity for some brainwashing but time is always against them because the kids grow up. Sooner or later the majority grow up.

I am sure you have never thought of this but it is only going to get worse for communism peddlers as the technology improves. Life extension technology has no hard limits actually. Increasingly we will have far longer life spans than even in the present day. With that the influence of children will only diminish as they represent an increasingly smaller slice of the demographic.

Whoever solves the student loan debt problem off their backs? And whoever gets them low interest loans for them to buy their own apartments, homes and so on? Whoever makes sure they can buy electric cars or ride cheap and efficient public transportation, and make sure their health insurance is good for them, and whoever gives them some power and a voice in gov't?

They will always support. It is about who can execute? If Sanders fails to execute? They will trash his time in office. And they will be right. Execute or lose.

That is reality for the ones fighting for this election cycle between the ages of 18-35.

Then you need to join the 20th Century before we leave the 21st.

That would just be embarrassing.

Crazy Bernie promises them free things that he will never be able to deliver. But the Now Generation want it all Now, so they throw their logic out the window and vote for the person that promises them the most free stuff that we all know is not free, but will actually bankrupt the country. It is just stupid and crazy to support clear frauds like Sanders and Warren.

 FDR promised those things too, was he part of the "Now Generation"? Was he crazy? Was that why he was elected into office 4 times, until he died?

You're clueless and, as usual, and completely led by the nose by a Presidential Orangutan.
