I dont need to see the intelligence reports myself to know that news reports that the Russians put bounties on our troops is true and that Trump is a traitor to America and too much of a pussy to do anything about it. Just like I dont need to jump off a bridge myself to know it will hurt.

Anybody who can't see this is just an idiot or worse is OK with having a traitor for a President and is OK with leaving our troops unprotected and simply letting them die un-necessarily because Trump and their own selfish interests are important than the lives of our troops. I dont care if you ever served or not because I pay attention to your actions and your actions demonstrate you prefer to sacrafice the lives of our troops and allow our President betray our country in the process just so you can keep a traitor in office. So kindly go fuck yourself and piss off. You dont support our troops nor do you give a damn about them. Your actions speak for themselves.

Your OK with leaving our troops undefended and sacrificing them for a traitor. It's as simple as that. I hope you burn in hell when you die as far as I am concerned. You are not an American. Your with that traitor Trump.

O'Brien says top CIA official decided against briefing Trump on Russia bounty intel

    National security adviser Robert O'Brien said Wednesday that the senior career CIA officer who briefs President Trump in person made the decision not to verbally brief him on intelligence about a Russian scheme to offer bounties targeting American troops in Afghanistan, saying she lacked confidence in the veracity of the intelligence.

    "The president's career CIA briefer decided not to brief him because it was unverified intelligence," O'Brien said in an interview with Fox News, adding that she is "an outstanding officer."

    O'Brien told reporters at the White House following his interview that the CIA officer who serves as the president's briefer, who he did not identify, decided not to tell Mr. Trump of the Russian bounty operation "because she didn't have the confidence in the intelligence that came up."

Trump lies like we breath oxygen.

So do all the members of the MSM(D) that completely lost their s**t when Trump won in 2016 and threw away all pretense at journalistic ethics.

And as far as "consensus" is concerned there is this where I put the important point in bold italics in a quote below from a recent news article:

Seeing my above statement (and link), why should I take CNN’s desperate spin and unsupported speculation seriously?

Anyway, aside from the politics from all this bullshit, a new war movie called "The Outpost" has just come out about the battle at COP Keating that took place in 2009 in Afghanistan. I was an infantryman serving in Afghanistan in 2009-2010 and there was a lot of action going on in Afghanistan at the time. It's a great true story of American badassery, military lore, and Americans kicking ass while facing some really tough odds. I love it. Tactically, at COP Keating we were fucked (our intel professionals considered us doomed) and we were also badly outnumbered by the attackers. However, when the smoke cleared, we weren't doomed after all. I attribute our victory at COP Keating mainly to outstanding NCO leadership and Officer leadership who trusted their NCOs under their lieutenant. Air support didn't arrive until near the end of the battle where we had nearly retaken parts of the COP from the Taliban. Check it out. Awesome movie! The battle produced two living Congressional Medal of Honor citations.

I was laughing my ass off watching the movie when it showed one time COP Keating coming under attack and one of the soldiers bust out of the shower butt ass naked with his pistol and starts shooting up at the enemy in the surrounding mountains and I was like, "Now HOLD ON NOW! This ain't no Andy Sidaris film! Put some damn clothes on before busting out of the shower with your pistol shooting at the enemy!" :lol: :lol: Andy Sidaris is some dude who took playboy models and had them carrying guns in his movies and killing bad guys and filming them naked or several sex scenes in case you are wondering who Andy Sidaris is :lol: :lol: .

Shit intelligence is shit intelligence. This was all cooked up all in order to keep American troops in Afghanistan and make an attack on the President in an election year, reminding the democrat base of the Russia hoax, all in one. If you don't believe that, I have a bridge to sell you in Mississippi.

Yeah, one of his star playboy models was Donna Spier. That woman is the prettiest blonde I have ever seen in my life, but watching interviews of her you can tell she is batshit crazy. That woman needs some help. She is helping other women, but really she still needs help herself. I think she is a narcissist herself just like my ex-wife. Most super hot babes like Donna Spier I have met and gone out with are batshit crazy and tend to be narcissistic.

I guess that's why I ended up divorcing my ex-wife. My ex-wife was really hot. But damn was she fucking nuts. She was a beautiful red head. The prettiest women are blondes and red heads. Narcissistic women who are hot babes are a very addictive drug for men that simply are not good for them. They'll bring you down and are hard to resist.

Thanks for the heads up. And yeah, any small-unit action that produces two Medals of Honor almost certainly deserves a movie! There seems to be a spate of war movies lately, what with “Midway” and the new Tom Hanks movie (the name of which escapes me). I really enjoyed the “Midway” movie, and am looking forward to the other two, when the opportunity arises.

What's the other movie besides Midway and The Outpost? I definitely want to see Midway, but based on your writings of the American Civil War I want to see the other movie, whatever that movie might be.

I'll tell you another great war movie that is not based on a battle our troops fought in, but a battle our Australian allies fought in: Danger Close. One of my buddies who served in Afghanistan is an Australian veteran of the Afghan War. We correspond with each other and send each other shit all the time. He recommended that movie to me (Danger Close). That particular battle was between Australian troops and the NVA over a rubber plantation during the Vietnam War.

A quick check, the name of the Tom Hanks movie is “Greyhound.” Apparently, Hanks not only is the leading actor but also wrote the script. It’s based on the C.S. Forester book The Good Shepherd, where Hanks is the newly-minted commander of a destroyer escorting a 1942 convoy through the North Atlantic to Russia. There’s a six-day period during the trip when the convoy is out from under air cover, and during that window the convoy is found by a German U-boat wolf pack. The movie was released exclusively on Apple+, but I’ll be watching for when it comes available on Vudu.

I’m strongly thinking of doing another thread in the History section in a few years covering WWII day-by-day. IIRC, starting in 2023 both the days of the week and the leap year line up. It would be different from my Civil War thread, though, both more and less detailed.

Another one I’ll have to keep an eye out for, thanks!

Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors. I am definitely going to watch Greyhound on Netflix and Midway. Is Midway on Netflix? You can rent or buy The Outpost on Amazon. Danger Close you can rent on YouTube. Danger Close is about the battle of Long Tan, which I am assuming Long Tan is the rubber plantation the Aussies and NVA were fighting over.

@Doug64

Let me correct myself. The Battle of Long Tan was between the Aussies and the VC. Not the NVA.

Edit:

Correct myself again! It was between the Aussies and the VC as well as the NVA both.

The relationship between and membership in either was somewhat fluid. Some NVA joined the Vietcong after it got pasted during Tet. Some NVA officers "advised" the VC. At the time an army saying was.

What is the difference between the NVA and the VC? The VC don't bounce when you throw them out of the helicopter.

Funny thing, my girl looks a good deal like Donna Speir from back in the old days. I didn't exactly plan that, but I'm happy :D

I somewhat agree with your general statements about beautiful women, my past track record pretty well confirms that. Relationships are difficult and God knows I have my personal problems and issues too. I guess I'm just stubborn and can't give up on a good relationship or on people in my life, and I'm blessed that she hasn't given up on me yet either. Prayer helps I know.

@Drlee

Yeah, when I was watching the movie "The Outpost" it reminded me of my time in Afghanistan where I transformed from an inexperienced green soldier who didn't know anything into a fearless warrior viking for Uncle Sam. It takes time and experience to make that transformation. But I like transformed into a patriot when I was in Afghanistan who was fearless and literally willing to lay my life down for my fellow soldiers. It also gave me a deeper insight into the Nam veterans and they were fearless warriors too in Nam. We were just inheriting a tradition from those who came before us. There is a lot that goes on and goes down people have no idea about. A lot of extraordinary bravery that nobody except the soldiers that were there know about.

For example, the movie "Black Hawk Down" never once mentioned the tremendous bravery of the 10th Mountain Division over in Somalia and the huge role they played in that battle. It's only now here recently that has become known to the public just now. Some of the bravery I saw in Afghanistan, I think people wouldn't completely believe me unless they they made a movie about it or mentioned it in the news. There is one song that truly captured my spirit when I was enduring some very dark times in Afghanistan. Bruce Springsteen's song "No Retreat, No Surrender." Except in our case, we really were soldiers with a vow to defend. I look back on my time in Afghanistan with extraordinary pride. "Well we made a promise that we swore we would always remember, no retreat baby, no surrender. Like soldiers in a stormy night with a vow to defend, no retreat baby, no surrender." That promise we made as soldiers was the oath that we swore.

Here is the story of the 10th Mountain Division and their bravery in Somalia that the movie "Black Hawk Down" missed and is only just now being known about to the public. Things like this is far more common than what people realize. A lot of heroism goes unrecognized:
