I would consider that the trends tend to be roughly the same throughout the world and as I previously noted, the emerging conspiracy theory that Trump is suppressing the numbers is probably going to have an uphill battle in that greater context.
The pro-lockdown people have obviously won up until now but as therapeutics like HCQ become widespread and vaccines become available, it will be interesting to see if they still push for lockdowns so that Biden doesn't have to debate Trump, keep the economy suppressed etc.
I'm not interested in conspiracy theories and none of what you have types is true.
Yesterday saw the highest number of cases globally, the trend is for a continuous rise in daily case rates.
What does pro-lockdown mean?
It means that if you lose control of transmission then you restrict movement for a short period to break the chain, it doesn't mean you want people locked in their homes for weeks. I'm not pro-lockdown, but if you want to prevent spread then you must take action, it wont just disappear if people don't socially distance or use masks when that isnt possible, continue to congregate indoors and pretend nothing has changed.
HCQ isnt a theraputic. The guy who first proposed it runs a hospital in france that has three times higher death rate from covid than the average. No research has been able to show it saves lives, what they all show is it reduces viral load but the side effects in very sick people makes them more likely to become seriously ill or die. Remsvidir and a few other anti-virals have shown the best results so far.
This is a virus we are talking about, it doesnt care whether you vote Trump or Biden. All that matters is that transmission is reduced so that fewer get ill and there is less death while waiting for vaccines become available.
Do you really think that Trump is so weak that the democrats could prevent him from debating Biden?
If this is true then it sounds like he's already lost control of events.
