Pants-of-dog wrote:The point that you seem to not understand is that the communists fought and killed fascists. In fact, it was arguably the communists that saved the world from fascism.

And now we see the rise of fascism in developed capitalist countries.

So we see that fascism and communism were not only opposed to each other in history, but modern variants of fascism would also target leftists.

Yep, fascism and communism are wings of the same bird. One on the right and one on the left. Both evil and authoritarian. Why do you keep stating communists were good guys? The commies were as bad or worse than the NAZIs.

None of this is true. I have no idea why you keep repeating wrong things. You seem to have a knee jerk reaction to talk about racism or communism every time someone mentions the word “fascism”.

Try to answer the next question without discussing racism or socialism or communism.

Are you worried about fascist trends in the US today? Yes or no?

NO, not at all. America is the least racist nation in the world.

You failed to answer the question without bringing up racism.

Please note that Trump was elected because he was openly racist. So that disproves your claim and provides more evidence that the US is actually at risk for fascism.

Everyone should say yes.

The trending towards the far right and far left in this country should have everyone worried. People are turning into extremist nutters. Violence becomes inevitable.

Which nation is less racist? America goes out of its way to not be racist. American society is the most explicitly antiracist society on earth. America is aggressively antiracist. That's not to say there isn't racism within American society but no country has gone to the antiracist extremes American society has. America is easily hands down the least racist country in the world.

Granted that's not a very high bar, most societies, and especially brown societies, are shockingly racist, but it's not nothing.

Tgis seems like a false equivalence.

Proto-fascists currently occupy some of the highest positions of power in the USA and can access state equipment and forces for violence, while the left has no militaristic arm at all and no political power.

To argue that the threat comes from both is extremely unrealistic.

Trump was created by the extreme left wing of the USA. He is a reaction to the left.

I worry much more about the extreme left than the extreme right. The left think they have the high moral ground and are fanatical, religion like. Virtue is more to be feared than vice, because its excesses are not subject to the regulation of conscience. Adam Smith

In my experience right wingers tend to be a bit more reasonable and docile than left wingers. Note, how I have no problem condemning fascism and you are unable to condemn communism.

Your personal beliefs are irrelevant.

But you do bring up a good point that fascists see themselves as the good guys and as the victims. Like right wingers in the US today.

It's true that the left has mostly failed to capture the police and military but I don't see how you can claim no political power when you got honest to goodness billionaire Bond villians backing you?

What is it about right wingers pretending that billionaires are actually Marxists?

Why would someone who gets rich and powerful from the capitalist status quo feel any need to deliberately threaten their own wealth and power?

Arguing that the elite are secretly in league with the socialists is not only stupid, but straight out of the fascist handbook.

What's with Marxists always trying to pretend they haven't been backed by billionaires from the beginning? Marx himself was backed by rich industrialists and banksters, the guy was even a close relative of the Rothschilds. Who do you people think you're really kidding here?

Why would someone who gets rich and powerful from the capitalist status quo feel any need to deliberately threaten their own wealth and power?

Regardless of why, the fact is Marxists have always had massive financial backing from the capitalists. Go read Sutton, he ironclad documented that shit. There's absolutely zero doubt that banksters and industrialists have been financing Marxism from even before it was a fully articulated doctrine.

Arguing that the elite are secretly in league with the socialists is not only stupid, but straight out of the fascist handbook.

Yeah because the Ford Foundation and Soros have never given millions of dollars to the "trained Marxists" heading up Black Lives Matter...

Marxists are totally legit, they're definitely not just a bunch of fakewad posers who not-so-secretly fantasize about gulaging the world and establishing their dominion as the new class yuppie overlords...

POD

After a while some billionaires lose contact with reality and become virtue signaling machines.
The education of POD is arduous labor.

Capitalists divert any potential forces subversive to their social order by re-defining subversion into something that makes their social order even stronger. Supporting Non-White and White Nazis and splitting up the working people by race is one of those diversions for example, because racialists don't do Socialism.
