I say the USA government should consider term limits on these power hungry types like Mitch McConnell. This is the Mexican government system in English:

Six years in power is the maximum term. Mexican presidents have six years in one term and OUT.

Requirements for voting in Mexico:

https://observadores.ine.mx/portal/requisitos

You need to be a citizen and to be 18 years old and have a valid voter registration card that is also your state ID.

That is it. You can be homeless and do it through the mail or via electronic means.

This is Mexico. It is not the USA with big budgets for red tape. Lol. The excuses the USA Trumper types come up with to exclude people are ridiculous claims.

Voting history is all about 'we don't want you voting'.

That Strom Thurmond is the one who took away the ability to declare bankruptcy in Puerto Rico. No one knows why he pushed that in there but he was a hardcore racist.

I am tired of these excuses of voter fraud and how special that right is and you got massive fraud. Mexico had massive fraud and they reformed the system and made it hard to steal an election and they had bloody violent fights for power. But in the end it is about popular votes and class conflict. The USA is going to have class conflict and bloody fights for power.

Deal with the reality of what Jimmy Dore states in his discussions with Richard Wolff. The system is flawed. Change the system and don't look for excuses for not changing it. Both parties need to deal with massive change or there will be bloody fights for power for a very long time. And a possible civil war.

Rapacious Donor Class and Capitalism fails....that is a reality:

Among Likely Voters, 69% of Republicans, 37% of Independents, and even 12% of Democrats don't believe Biden won fairly. The reverse was likely true when it came to Trump's win in 2016. It's a problem.

And the problem has absolutely nothing to do with the rules of voting. It has everything to do with culpable dumbassery. And, of course, a traitorous and despicable attempt by republicans to undermine American democracy in service of the worst person ever to hold the presidency. And their personal career.

If republican lawmakers would tell the truth on this subject for a single week that pack of lies would die. The obvious deliberate dishonesty of republican elected officials in fomenting this rebellion will, if the USA survives, go down in history as the darkest day in our political history. (And I am not certain that American democracy will survive. Indeed it is already mostly dead.)

Sum it up. Democracy=Bullshit pack of lies of the USA Republican party. Manipulation get rid of the socialists because they are about taxing the 1%.The Dems want to continue with too little not enough real change and lies...more bullshit. Civil war and armed insurrection.

@Tainari88

I definitely agree with you on the need for term limits on members of Congress. We certainly don't need a civil war in this country either. I don't have a crystal ball, but I suspect under the current leadership, we will not have to worry about the possibility of civil war. We will of course, have to worry about domestic terrorism and white supremacists though. They will continue to be a threat during the Biden administration.

@Politics_Observer You need to have term limits on everything, especially judges on the SCOTUS. Even if those terms are long 12 year terms, it's better than life-time terms.

Tell the truth? Like the truth that judges and state officials unconstitutionally altered their states' laws protecting the integrity of the elections, thereby rendering who-knows-how-many hundreds of thousands of votes invalid? The truth laid out in the thousands of pages of sworn affidavits of voter fraud that have not been and now never will be disproven, because they won't be--and possibly can't be--properly investigated? Those truths? The millions of voters that feel this election was stolen have a great deal more to back up our opinions than the millions that still feel against all evidence that Trump conspired with the Russians to steal the 2016 election. I've said it before and it's still true now, Biden is going to go down in history a member of the fortunately very short list of presidents that are recipients of stolen property, even if they didn't steal it themselves, and nothing he does in the however many years as president his health allows is going to erase the asterisk after his name.

I really wonder what part of the 12% Dems and 37% of Independents were thinking about how Biden won the nomination?

I think it was over 67% in both cases.

A lot of the millions of Trump voters are like what Bill Maher discusses in this piece Politics:

What is going on with people who keep not understanding what is going wrong in their systems? In my honest opinion, it has to do with lack of understanding how the system works.
#15150351
@Tainari88

Bill Maher hit the nail on the head when he said that Trump supporters thought Trump was going to being their bull in the china shop but they didn't realize they were the china in the china shop. He was also right that a lot of democrat states are guilty of the same where the woman was being charged I think he said 167% interest on her loan to keep her business afloat. So both republicans and democrats have been in bed with big business who destroyed unions and squeezed the middle class dry.

So we agree on this, but why can we not agree on the solution?
#15150363
@colliric

Well, if you are advocating the solution proposed by the republican party or by many conservatives, some of them would work but not some of the extreme ideas I have been hearing at times from conservatives and some republicans. For example, tax cuts for the rich won't work and we need to tax the top 1% more. Plus, unions are very important too. However, many republicans don't want to tax even the top 1% nor do they want any unions around. That's part of the problem. The wealthy benefit greatly living in the United States and they will inevitably have to carry more of the financial cost of government because of their ability to pay.

But guess who gets to bear the burden of fighting our country's wars and doing a lot of the shit work in the country? That's right, the poor who have less financial ability to pay for the cost of government. So the poor pays in other ways where they cannot pay in financial terms (and the rich don't pay in the same way that the poor pay). Right now, you have the wealthy engaging in economic gluttony and not wanting to pay the needed funds for government, all while never having to serve in any of the country's wars or having to work the shit jobs most of the working poor have to work. At the end of the day, we have to have this mentality we are all in this together because we are and work to help each other out in ways that we are able. The mentality right now is everybody is out for themselves and that's not going to work. Ultimately, nobody is going to succeed unless they recognize we are a team and we have to help each other out in ways that we are able. We are not islands unto ourselves here.

Yes, individuality is important just as team work is important. However, there is such a thing as toxic individuality and that is part of the problem I have seen. This sort of toxic individuality where many believe they are just islands unto themselves and this notion that their is no such thing as society. That's pretty extreme and quite frankly, fairy tale belief. The notion of there is no such thing as society.

Your "truth" is nothing but a grand conspiracy theory.

What in the fuck do you think an affidavit is? Do you think once a Reddit post is submitted to Sydney Powell or Lin Woods or Rudy Giuliani and filed with a court that it somehow becomes magically true? Because that's the fucking level of "affidavit" that Trump's clown car lawyer show was submitting to the courts: literal Reddit posts and morons insisting that they saw a Biden-Harris branded truck show up to the polling place to unload fake votes in the most obvious fraud ever.

Or do you think Jim Watkins Jr., having read the manual for a voting machine and submitting an affidavit simply saying "I read the manual," makes for an impressive affidavit? Listen, I know it's a fancy word you like to throw around but don't be simple. The state attorneys rightfully rejected affidavits like Jim Watkins Jr./8kun guy's submissions by saying, "If we are going to cite a guy who said he read the manual, why don't we just submit the manual as evidence?"

And who gives a shit about the ~feelings~ of millions of morons who are stupid enough to believe Trump, a compulsive liar? They're free to believe in whatever dumb bullshit they want to believe in, and their feelings are irrelevant. They lost. Trump lost. You lost. Stop being a petulant, whiny baby because reality doesn't have a customer service representative you can Karen at.

In summation, for you and Trump:

Trump Voters 2016: Image

Trump Voters 2020: Feelings are the most important thing in the universe and we need to respect them and do endless investigations to placate those feelings (and also I want a million 1 in a million chances to overturn the election. No, I don't understand probability).

There is no level of investigation that will placate the feelings of whiny losers who have not moved beyond the Denial stage of the grieving process. I enjoy your tear laced rants about how some idiot, who filed an ~affidavit~, drove behind a garbage truck for three hours thinking it was filled with Trump votes on their way to the dump.

I'm not making that up, but I am embellishing. Because this is the type of person and the type of testimony Rudy was submitting to the courts. And when the courts told him to fuck off he presented it to state legislators gathering in the Autumn Whispers conference room at the local Ramada because he wanted to play act at doing important things. What a fucking shame that dumbassed shit like this will never be fully investigated (specifically, the lady who is not from Iran and her amazing story). I strongly encourage you to listen to her, Doug64, because this is the type of ~magically true affidavit~ that you're insisting is special. As if stacking a thousand turds on top of each other somehow makes it a skyscraper and not a pile of shit.

"I left work so suddenly people thought my husband had died. Then I followed a random truck around for several hours while calling the police, who did NOT take my complaints seriously. After that, I went home to post on Facebook. I brought copies of the Facebook posts with me to prove my point. This is my affidavit, which is a Latin term for objective truth."

That is not a point. You don't make attempts to alter reality based on what some cuckoos "believe" especially when those cuckoos have been fed nonsensical lies constantly. Are you going to start collecting taxes to create a wall at the edge of the sea to prevent boats from falling over the abyss because some people believe the earth is flat? Or how about banning vaccines because some tards think it causes autism?
