The level of disrespect and callousness that the victim was shown by the police, mall security, and the Victoria's Secret employees in this case is appalling. This is what racism looks like.

Black woman recorded her without her authorization. That is a crime. Also pure racism against white people.

Wokeism will hand over 2022 snap election and 2024 general election to Trump.

It is. Recording someone and publishing on the internet without recorded person's permission is a crime. She should be punished severely to disencourage people recording other people illegally.

No, @Istanbuller, it is not illegal to film someone. That's simply false, and no matter how many times you say it, it won't change reality.

Posting it online can be, however. It would be up to the "Karen" to inquire about that, however. It's not black and white.

 Do you even know what racism is?

Only a complete moron and Trump cultist, would think that.

Isn't Trump supposed to have been reinstated yesterday, according to him and his other idiots and cultists? Why aren't you talking about your fat orange god, Istanbuller?

She wasn't mentally ill, just racist. The difference is that racists are crazy by choice.

uhuh, so which one is this?

Crazy by choice or mentally ill?

But seriously, babies display in-group preference, aka racism even before they can talk. Racism is natural, just like homosexuality or aids.

She is mentally ill.

She's suffering from some kind of severe mental Anxiety disorder. She's literally having a mental breakdown on camera.

Racist and mentally ill.

Oh and Igor, the Star Wars themed Ma'am sequel was pretty funny:

He's on his own, everyone else knows that chick was racist and mentally ill.

She's not mentally ill. Her behavior is goal-oriented and demonstrates self-preservation. People actually experiencing mental breakdowns don't look around the room for approval and brace themselves before they "faint", and then get back up again in 30 seconds after shaking uncontrollably on the floor.

Her behavior is what parents like to call a "temper tantrum", typically exhibited by 3 year old children, or, the mental equivalent, racists.

I don't personally like the term 'karen', 'karen' is just a name.

I do not like racism at all. I am so very very not racist.

There is a woman that comes by a store where I work sometimes, and she walks around the parking lot screaming racist shit.

It is stupid, unpleasent, and a product of people who are very ignorant, and quite unacceptable in their actions.

But, I also don't laugh at people having mental breakdowns and shit.

Good video for discussion and stuff, I'm just giving my own take.

The term 'karen' though, is not one I'm a fan of, myself.

I'll try to hold back on commenting now, as I just got to that part in the video, and damn, you right. I was just giving a general take, it's a lengthy video.

(Edit. I don't like defending cops necessarily; the security and staff seemed like complete assholes; the cops seemed more confused than anything.)

It isn't a crime in the US, where this obviously occurred.

In the US, it is not a crime to film people like that.

The white woman experienced a panic attack after realizing the black woman was recording her. She has an anxiety disorder and was anxious about the recording because she was afraid of losing her job and apartment. The footage does not include the initial scuffle between them. The victim alleged that the white woman had lunged at her and attempted to strike her unsuccessfully. Several witnesses at the mall also said they did not witness anyone being struck and police said there was no indication that an arrestable offense or crime had been committed. Probably the white woman did nothing wrong, except for browsing the store's underwears uncomfortably close to her, for which the black woman threatened her to go away. The incident took place during the summer sale at Victoria's Secret.

In later videos and in what Ukenta says is the police report, Ukenta says that everything began when she was scanning the store's offering of underwear and the woman started browsing items uncomfortably close to her. Ukenta says that she asked her to "back up" but that the woman instead went to the cash register and told an employee that Ukenta had just threatened her. Ukenta says she decided to start recording the scene on video, which she says led to the confrontation caught in the first video.

After the initial scuffle, the woman appears to chase Ukenta around the store while alleging that Ukenta "threatened her." Then, the woman calls the police on Ukenta. Eventually, both the mall security guards and the police arrive, and the woman appears to leave the mall.

They sorta both seem like assholes. The white woman seems worse; and the black woman seems basically fine; but seems like a bunch of drama, that we shouldn't really get wrapped up in.

Stupid drama happens all the time, in many places.

But, there did seem enough filmed that like, the white woman was coming at the black woman, and the store staff and security probably should have had the black woman's side in that case, and like, escorted her out of the mall over it.

(The cops seemed like they were called into a strange situation, and had no idea what the fuck was going on.)

The very first second of the video in the OP shows Elphick striking Ukenta.

'karen' is an offensive term, which I really don't like.

I started to watch that video above.

'This Karen.'

Karen is a name.

This was a video of two women being stupid, and the black woman with the phone did a lot of instigating, trying to make a viral video (well done, she is probably making money on this, but sorta dispicable).

You can go to your local mall and probably see shit like this every other week.
