This means that the unelected CIA (and its sponsors) was-is more powerful than the USA government.

If that was true, Cheney would not have been able to to dismember the CIA, to get more control of spook operations.

I understand your anger, but it's not a license to just make sh*t up.

That Cheney was reported to do X, doesn't mean that the CIA doesn't control the USA through terrorism and lies.

Sorry, kiddo, you've oversimplified things into a caricature.

There are several entities that hold the bulk of the power. Perhaps the worst is the Kochtopus..

The CIA are there to ensure that entities like the Koch brothers ... thrive.

If it weren't for the CIA, the USA might be egalitarian and democratic.

You're talking about the outside of the country, and in that regard, you would be mostly right.

You have the same dichotomy with oil. Outside the country, they kill leaders, install puppet governments, bribe, pay rebels, if it's nasty, they do it.

But inside the country, they can buy Congress.

It's not a dichotomy. It's the same techniques, but applied differently domestically.

Buying congress and buying foreign dictators... is the same thing. And it shows the same lack of respect for the voters who are usurped in the process - as if they were brain-dead and submissive (MK- Ultra-ed).

Indeed, just a lone nut who had in his possession some magic bullets.

That's why they were parading Oswald all over town, in the open, so that he was able to be shot, what it is they were doing, is they were trying to force him to lead them to where the magic bullets were hidden.

Well if the purpose of the CIA is prevent egalitarianism then it must be said it hasn't done a very good. In 1947 when the CIA was created it would be unthinkable for someone of Obama's racial characterisation to become President. Hell in 1947 its extremely doubtful that even a Catholic like JFK could have become President.

Back in the real world, serious people need facts, and that's a commodity in short supply, in this case.

The facts we do have point to an emotionally unsatisfying story. One of the hardest things to do is walk away from good stories when the facts aren't there to support them.

But it can be done.

I'm calling a healthy hep of bullshit.

I just turned on JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass. Give it a watch.

That's called projection.

Still have a lot more questions than answers...

After killing all the civil rights champions of the 60s, the powers-that-beTM went after African-American men in general as a perma-scapegoat for economic or social problems.

Result: a much higher rate of incarceration of black Americans today than when Malcolm X was alive and complaining about inequality.

The CIA made sure the USA stayed socially backwards, and then it went on to help the Pentagon plunder egalitarianism all over the world.

They are the brains of the Fabulous WestTM military-industrial-complex, in partnership with the Pentagon and the Uber-rich. No democracy gets to see the light of day with these mega-controlling tyrannical monopolies.

Sanders has never actually challenged power in the first place, so why would they risk that ?

Those who actually do challenge power, like Ralph Nader, or Tulsi Gabbard, get put to the side and never spoken of again.

Thats of course not an option if the person in question is the current president.

I think Allen Dulles predicted the JFK assasin soon after JFK fired him when he said, "That little prick is a dead man."

Or some such thing. We'll never know. He didn't tweet it.

But talk about a great prediction! "That little prick is a dead man."... And then, he gets shot. The little prick.

Allen Dulles may have had telepathic powers as well.

The assassination was predicted by the 1951 movie The Tall Target, which was inspired by real events. In the movie, Dick Powell plays a New York police detective, Sgt. John Kennedy, who boards a train to thwart a plot to kill Abraham Lincoln as he makes a pre-inaugural speech in Baltimore in February 1861.

Conspirators on the train know of Kennedy's mission and plan to get him out of the way. One character tells Kennedy, "I don't know anything about a plot against Lincoln's life, but there certainly seems to be one against you." A young man on the train, who has military training, plans to shoot Lincoln through the window of an upper floor of a building as the president-to-be gives a speech from the back of a train car. The assassin will use a rifle with "a new-fangled telescope sight." The John Kennedy in this 1951 film is discovering how the other John Kennedy will be assassinated in 1963.

Aliens is not far from the correct spelling.

And if worse comes to worse, an oligarch can always resort to fantasy lies that are impossible to investigate. Like you've done. (Are you related to the Dulles in any way?)

An aside: The Bay of Pigs "invasion" was set up to fail. The "invaders" were poorly trained, Castro knew they were coming and two American destroyers were right offshore waiting for the presidential order to put ashore a large detachment of marines to "rescue" the operation. JFK refused to give the OK.

This refusal understandably did little to endear JFK to the CIA or the CIA's little helpers, the Mafia, who were waiting with open arms to welcome Cuba back to the American empire.
