To clarify, the left-right linear political spectrum could be thought of as *spinning* around its center-point, the nationalist nation-state, with both left-wing and right-wing 'peripheries' being always diametrically *opposite* to each other, yet both are still being 'spun' by the nationalist center.
'Centripetal force' will always tend to draw-inward and consolidate the near-central ideologies, towards nationalist interests, while either 'periphery' side (far-left vs. far-right) will tend to be concentrated 'outward', away from status-quo nationalist interests.
