It's amazing Russian state media uses the phrase "the Ukrainian question". How many more queues can these morons take from the Nazis?

They rather take it from the Russian Empire, I guess.

CEU Press wrote:The Ukrainian Question

The Russian Empire and Nationalism in the 19th Century

Author: Alexei Miller

This pioneering work treats the Ukrainian question in Russian imperial policy and its importance for the intelligentsia of the empire. Miller sets the Russian Empire in the context of modernizing and occasionally nationalizing great power states and discusses the process of incorporating the Ukraine, better known as "Little Russia" in that time, into the Romanov Empire in the late 18th and 19th centuries. This territorial expansion evolved into a competition of mutually exclusive concepts of Russian and Ukrainian nation-building projects.

Ukrainian government proposes Bill 7351, which would allow officers to use lethal force on soldiers disobeying orders or abandoning their posts

Zelensky: Russia has 20 times more military equipment

“We do not have enough equipment because we are fighting against such a large state and a large army. They (the Russians) have 20 times more equipment…” he said in Davos, begging for arms supplies.

The euro exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange fell to 59 rubles for the first time since June 2015

City of Liman is being stormed by Russian troops, 500 UA troops surrendered, thousands more retreated to railway station and have dug in

"We can't do it, we don't have the strength to repel the attack!" - Ukrainians in a panic, the Russian army smashes the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Liman

Canadian journalist Neil Hauer writes about this:

"We will not be able to cope with Russian aviation. There have already been 5 air strikes, the planes were flying directly above us. We do not have enough strength to repel the Russian attack," he quotes policemen who had just returned from Liman.

“I am watching Russian rocket artillery salvoes on Liman from about 10 km. We saw shell explosions hitting Ukrainian positions,” he writes.

UA troops retreating under direct artillery fire:

We learned interesting facts about the Ukrainian territorial defense-numbering about 500,000, which has swelled to the size of an entire army and is being successfully destroyed in all directions where it has to operate, and sometimes in the rear:

- The promised payments are not received by the defense workers, and if they do, then not in the amount in which it was declared;

- The benefits of combatants in the defense have been cut compared to the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

- Most of the TRO units from Western Ukraine are sent to the front, while they receive neither heavy weapons nor protective equipment (body armor and helmets are bought by them at their own expense, from weapons they are issued only small arms, rarely grenade launchers and anti-tank systems);

- No combat training of the TRO does not take place;

- The most favorite way to use TRO at the front is to use them as bait to open the position of our artillery;

- The losses are monstrous, hence the growing level of members refusing to fight

TOS-1 clearing a UA entrenched position:

UA tanks attempt to hide in residential area backyards. Precision artillery is used to eliminate them.

LPR militia infantry surround a UA strongpoint in vicinity of severodonetsk.

Drone guided precision artillery demonstrates the futility of Ukrainian static entrenchments. As I mentioned before they only serve to slow down Russian advances, Kiev is trading flesh for time. Russia is not going to run out of artillery.

Armed Forces of Ukraine are blowing up the dam of the Uglegorsk thermal power plant near Svetlodarsk! - A lot of people can die.

So the militants are trying to slow down the advance of the troops of Russia and Donbass. Houses were damaged by a powerful explosion.

Dam rupture could kill many people in nearby communities-it appears the attempt failed

Stirrings on the southern front.
The Russian army is preparing to advance towards Zaporozhye, the battalions are concentrating in Vasilievka - Arestovich

“Russian troops in Vasilievka have been reinforced by three battalion tactical groups-10,000 troops, and now there are more Russian soldiers in the city than local residents,”

Russia will soon put about 50 Sarmat missiles on combat duty.

This was announced by Dmitry Rogozin.

Earlier, the head of Roscosmos stated that the Russian Armed Forces will receive serial samples of a new intercontinental ballistic missile this fall.

Borrel admitted that the EU's military equipment stocks have been depleted due to the assistance to Ukraine.

Turkey has not received the expected support from its NATO allies either in defense or in the fight against terrorism - Erdogan.

Turkey expects concrete steps from NATO to address Ankara's concerns about Sweden and Finland joining the alliance, and not useless statements, the Turkish president explained.

Turkey will not get involved in the "show on Ukraine", relations with Russia continue — Erdogan.

No wonder why Zelensky was willing to rather see Mariupol destroyed than to avoid destruction.

re Antunov
the videos you posted are showing ukrainian kills of russian military hardware and personnel, and they are not new. But nice try :)

re why Russia is a fascist system, pt 2

"Another issue is the Soviet tradition of treating Russia as innocent and Ukrainians as guilty. Stalin, whose act of collaboration with Hitler was by far the most important of the war, claimed for himself the right to define collaboration.

At the end of the Second World War, whole Soviet national minorities (such as the Crimean Tatars) were deported as collaborators, and Ukrainians were stigmatized. Stalin treated the Russians as the main victors.

In fact, most of the territory of the Russian republic of the USSR was spared from war, and when they were occupied Russians were no less likely to collaborate with Nazis than anyone else.
But Stalin and his then-favorite Zhdanov to present the Russians as the morally dominant nation.

Other nations could be stigmatized as fascist when necessary."

You know what's the essence of fascist thinking and system?

The state/country, basically administration is more important than individual human beings.

I can recognize that in attempt of removal of "borsch people" in the east by Kiev regime.

The other thing, it is kind of dumb making parallels between WW2 fascism and 27.000.000 dead Soviet victims killed by WW2 fascists.
It simply does not hold the water.
Somehow pushing orcs and cannibalism is more appropriate, even though equally dumb.

More videos of nothingness. You realize we could plaster this thread with videos of Russia equipment getting vaporized, do you?

Also Srpska with the bioweapons shit. You two are just pathetic beyond belief. :lol:

Lend Lease in WW2 was to oppose a savage mass murdering aggressor.

Lend Lease in Ukraine is opposing a savage mass murdering aggressor.

The more things change, the more they stay the same...

I think that most of you don't really understand what is going on so I will clarify for the confused on both sides. This has turned from Shock and Awe type of campaign and in to war of attrition. Defenders usually suffer less casualties in such situation by a large margin hence why we see so much casualties from Russians but don't kid yourself, this is still a war of attrition.

Meaning that the war will be won by whos production is larger and whos economy is stronger while having a manpower pool to put in to service. Ultimately this is not a war that Russia can win if Western resolve doesn't disappear. Russia is utterly incapable of sustaining an offensive war of attrition from the production standpoint(Not just equipment but ammo is more important) but also from the man reserve side of things. The reality is that without mobilization, Russia won't be able to match Ukrainians military manpool. So in both of the most crucial categories Russia will loose the war of attrition.

This might change if/when Ukraine goes on an offensive and the frontlines will start moving again. (5-10KM movement back and forward in 2 months is not movement) But for that to happen then Ukraine needs to build up material and the faster the weapon shipments go, the faster that offensive can begin. Land Lease delay by a week certainly was not welcome in this regard.

Ultimately our ability to churn out artillery shells and other kinds of ammo along with equipment should be decisive over a period of time. Even if the Russians want to declare mobilization then how are they going to arm the mobilized? Where are they going to get the equipment that functions? What about the ammo of all sorts? This is the real question about the situation in my opinion. How are they going to provide logistics for all of them?

Reality is a cruel mistress in this sense that even if you have reserves of soviet equipment and ammo then it doesn't translate to instant scaling of your army when and how you wish. That equipment needs to be fixed, repaired and so on. But is that even possible for most of it?

The crucial point here is OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. So the war is not going anywhere anytime soon. Ukrainian leadership has realized this and basically decided that total victory can be achieved by prolonged attritional fighting and offensives IF POSSIBLE. There are currently 2 ways to victory in their mind.

Ukraine is dug into static defenses, being encircled, being blasted from the air, by artillery, and its losing fewer troops? 700,000 defenders vs 180,000 on the offensive and russia is losing more troops? Are you counting russian artillery as russian losses? After all the shells blow up and cease to exist. :lol:

Russians are shelling the Ukrainians who are sitting in trenches waiting to die. Then simply walking over the corpses. This is not favouring the defender.

No this is not a war of attrition. It is a war of Kiev getting ass blasted, lying its ass off, having its lies propagated through western media and begging for help from the impotent west.

The west is finished if it is this mired in its own propaganda. Good riddance.

Ukraine is indeed loosing less troops. Your figure is more or less correct that its 700k vs 180 plus 40k from Donbass. But the thing that you are missing is that majority of that 700k is not in Donbass and Russia is attacking where it has numerical advantage. The reason why Ukraine doesn't have all that 700k in Donbass is because it has to guard a very long border with Russia and Belarus on top of large chunk of that 700k is being territorial defence that is being trained up and re-organised for the upcoming offensive.

So realistically speaking, Russia is attacking with numerical advantage where it is attacking and Ukraine sometimes attacks in other places where it has numerical advantage. Hence the back and forward.

If numbers are to be believed before the war, around 500k out of those 700k are territorial defense or new mobilized units meaning that that 500k is slowly trickling in to frontline unit personal and combat ready units the more Western weapons and systems arrive.

Your propaganda aside, how is Russia going to match that long term if the Western weapon shipments continue or even intensify?

Just in case someone oversaw:

A veteran Russian diplomat in Geneva has resigned over his country’s invasion of Ukraine in a rare political protest from within the Russian foreign policy establishment.

Boris Bondarev, a counsellor at the Russian permanent mission to the United Nations in Geneva, wrote in a public statement:

“Never have I been so ashamed of my country.”

“Today the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not about diplomacy,” wrote the diplomat, a 20-year veteran of the Russian foreign ministry. “It is all about warmongering, lies and hatred. It serves interests of few, the very few people thus contributing to further isolation and degradation of my country. Russia no longer has allies, and there is no one to blame but its reckless and ill-conceived policy.”

Boris Bondarev said his decision to resign was ‘very simple’.

Bondarev is the highest-level diplomat yet to resign publicly from the Russian foreign ministry over the war, which began in February. In a telephone interview with the Guardian, Bondarev confirmed that he had written the statement and submitted his letter of resignation on Monday.

“The decision was very simple,” said Bondarev. “When you see that your country is doing the worst things and being a civil servant you’re somehow related to that, it’s your decision just to terminate your connection with the government. We all must be responsible. And I don’t want to have any responsibility for what I don’t approve of.”

Ukraine has mounted no offensives, simply moved into areas Russians abandoned. No Russian forces have been forced out of towns, villages or cities by UA troops at any point.

Russia can more than match the US in terms of weaponry and troops placement by virtue of bordering the region it is in the process of annexing. NATO is shit, it has nothing, it's the US and it's an ocean away. This is not a war the US can win long term.
