Just put in Google "Ukraine will win" and in Twitter #Ukrainewillwin and voila enjoy the narrative created by irresponsible politicians and media.

You can google anything to support a bias since the internet is so large.

The media in Europe is a bit more reserved and US media is even more reserved then that. Reality is that Ukraine is still at a disadvantage due to Russias size and the steps taken with weapon shipments have not solved everything.

Once the weapon shipments intensify though, it will be a whole different matter. The problem with that is that some countries, especially Germany, want to return to the old status quo. THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN or more precisely Ukraine, Eastern European, Baltic countries and some of their friendly countries will not allow this to happen.

I understand that Germany is slow on the uptake and they don't deserve the leadership in Europe because of that and many other faults but they will understand this eventually if they wanna continue being one of the leaders in Europe. Otherwise we will just throw our weight fully behind France and/or Poland and that will be that. Having Makron in office is good for that, Polish leadership both conservative and centrist have always wanted this in the first place.

As for long term outlook in the worst case scenario for Ukraine when Germany doesn't get its things together then at the very least Ukraines real allies are The Baltic states, Poland, Slovakia, UK and to some degree USA. Economically speaking we have the pull to tip the balance even without the US but it will take way, way longer compared to a situation when Germany and rest of the lazy ass Western European countries contribute along with US getting a bit more serious.

I am still baffled that Germany doesn't understand that return to the old status quo is simply not possible. This is not business as usual even if the war ends. Not to mention that the war itself is damaging to the wider German and EU economies simply by existing and creating additional externalities. The faster this war ends with a victory of Ukraine, the better it will be for Europe. Basically not sending weapons to Ukraine by the Germans is the stupidest idea they had since electing/not opposing Hitler.

Beren wrote:Ukraine's more integrated with NATO and Poland than before, so I wonder if they can be really satisfied with that, the next time they'll have to fight a lot more NATO-ised and armed Ukraine, as well as some Polish troops perhaps. Due to the failed regime change attempt now it's vital for Russia to secure its southern flank, especially Crimea and the whole Azov region, militarily.

Well, I think they can. NATO and USA were deeply involved in steering crap in Ukraine. It's obvious by weapons, by instructors, by Maydan, by Zelensky, by AZOV, c14, right sector...all that is more or less destroyed and pushed back to the west. Russian population in the east is safe and secured and without some big escalation of war the rough times of Kiev terror is behind them.
These parts in the east will be self-sustainable and self-defensible soon.
So, the story of Russian soft belly through Ukraine is about to end.

Ah, yeah...US money and aid is change maker. For instance a trillion USD "invested" in Afghanistan, really made a smooth change.
Now Talibans have better weapons than Ukraine.
You are genius. I hope Kadyrov will have chance to measure your IQ

However, "a quick breakdown of the $40 billion reveals $8.7 billion will go to replenish the US weapons stockpile (thus not going to Ukraine at all); $3.9 billion for USEUCOM (the ‘office’ that dictates military tactics to Kiev); $5 billion for a fuzzy, unspecified “global food supply chain”; $6 billion for actual weapons and “training” to Ukraine; $9 billion in “economic assistance” (which will disappear into selected pockets); and $0.9 billion for refugees."

Good old Americans help more themselves than victims of their politics.

XogGyux wrote:Who is on Russia's side? Belarus? Azerbaijan? Russia stand alone, the puppet governments barely tip the balance. There is no way out of this without admitting defeat or starting WWIII.

On the Russian side it's not the west (12%) only the rest (88%). You are just programmed by the Russophobic matrix not to use your brain.
NATO imperialism keep receiving punches.
You blew it in Afghanistan, in Syria, in Kazakhstan your attempt of colorized unrest was erased in instant by Putin, and then you pull Zelensky move  .
Now, deranged Biden is apologizing to brother Xi for his (Biden's) stupid statements about Taivan.

Look how you, Bosnian Muslims, nicely thank to your US creators and sponsors for their nonsensical efforts. It's karma.

A New York man was found guilty by a federal jury in Brooklyn, following a three-week trial before U.S. District Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis, of one count of conspiracy to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), and five substantive counts of providing material support to ISIS.

According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Mirsad Kandic, 40, of Brooklyn, New York, and Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, was a high-ranking member of ISIS, a designated foreign terrorist organization. He had multiple responsibilities within the global terrorist organization, including recruiting foreign fighters, trafficking foreign fighters from the West through Turkey and into Syria, and obtaining weapons, military equipment, maps, money, and false identifications for ISIS fighters. In carrying out these responsibilities, the defendant worked directly with ISIS emirs and battlefield commanders, including Bajro Ikanovic, who commanded an ISIS training camp in Syria beginning in or around 2014. Ikanovic, in turn, reported to Omar Shishani, then the top military commander for ISIS, and a key advisor to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who was, at the time, the leader of ISIS and the self-declared Caliph of the Islamic State.

Basically, you are European Al-Qaida for the USA. They created you - and as a thank you note - the 6 members of Bosnian Muslim army landed on the WTC on September 11. European Osama bin Laden story. :D

Forget for an instant the humanitarian aspect. From a purely strategic position, Russia fucked up, they are "wasting" their military against a country that they never had to fight and/or worry about but now has a undescribable hatred against russians. Russians and Ukranians will hate each other for the next 100 years and Ukraine will continue to grow w/ closer ties to rich western countries while russia will continue to rot on its tundra, the west will slowly wean itself off the opium of oil. Putin will have to pray for Xi saving his ass, but china only does was is good for china and saving Putin's ass does not seem so appealing right now. Great job on that partnership "without limitations" . Cannot even choose your allies properly. Who is on Russia's side? Belarus? Azerbaijan? Russia stand alone, the puppet governments barely tip the balance. There is no way out of this without admitting defeat or starting WWIII.

Most EU states are switching to ruble payments, Russia's budget surplus is at record high, local spending power for local basket of goods prices has reached equivalent $30,000 per person. US 'lend lease' is just another scam to steal tax payer cash, ukraine is getting smashed, China and Russia just vetoed UN sanctions on north korea for the first time since 2006, after conducting tandem military flights near south korea and japan.

Russia is not isolated, it is getting larger. There is no way out of this for the west - it has already lost by stepping into shit, getting directly involved in a war on Russia's border - a war Russia can't lose.

Anymore smart ass remarks?

Rancid wrote:@Igor Antunov, why does your boy Putin and his pussy ass dick suckers keep bringing up nuclear weapons? That's a bitch move.

Because it's an easy option and a highly realistic option, it would expedite the process. Russia wouldn't be the first to employ nuclear weapons against a non nuclear state. And just like the Japanese future Ukrainians would grow to love and worship their new master, after getting fissioned and fused. Ding ding.

I love how Igor is crawling out of his rat hole whenever there's seemingly some battlefield success for the orcs. I wonder if he expected on page 1 to get all giddy over a bunch of villiages in Donbas being captured.
#15230026
The success never ended. They were in Kiev in 4 hours, ass blasted the city, depleted 60% of its population and men of fighting age, who are now in poland causing a nuisance. They just didn't stay. Now they're in Donbas, and they're staying.

It's Christmas in Ukraine, and everybody is invited.

Ukrainian troops have successfully counterattacked and removed the Russian forces on the Bakhmut - Lysychansk road and have started moving supplies on the road again. This "Road of Life" is not the only route, but it is the best one and shortest supply route the Ukraine army has right now.
This is important because Russia has activated its reserves to make several BTG's for this offensive this failure means they gone have much higher losses to take Lysychansk that they now hardy can replace in short time. This road is a must capture for Russia and a must hold for the Ukraine.

"According to media reports, Russia has begun taking 50-year-old obsolete T-62 tanks from mothballed reserve stocks and deploying them in Ukraine.
What crewmen are crazy enough to board them and drive them into battle? Slow and clumsy even by Russian standards, no impressive range (and that with the poor logistics of the Russians), thin-skinned for a tank, and they say that thing just loves to burn if you just look too sharp at it."

I'm guessing the Russians are trying to give the impression that they have infinite resources in hopes it would bring Ukraine to the table to give up land.

@Rancid

Right now, the Russians are committing genocide upon the Ukrainian people in several ways. One way is the use of filtration camps. The only way this madness will stop is for the Ukrainians to deliver a solid military defeat to Russia on the battlefield and give up no land at all. If they don't do that, Russia will be a threat to other NATO countries and such threats can spiral into World War III with potential nuclear escalation and that will be good for nobody.

It is. No side is completely defeated, or a complete winner. Ukraine will lose territories inhabited by Russians, but they certainly can live with that.
They , both sides, should have worked that out 2 months ago. At least I hoped.

The tricky part here is a role of Zelensky and his mentors behind him (read it USA) - their interest is not saving people. Their role is more related to visibility, geostrategic interests and profit - which means human lives are vehicles/tools to their goals, in other words - human lives are expendable for these key stakeholder in this mess in Ukraine.

Sure, however, the Russians shouldn't forget to take their precious Quisling home with them in exchange for some ordinary deplorable and expendable Ukrainian Nazis.

I think @Rancid @XogGyux @Drlee make decisions that maintain freedom of speech in Ukraine 8)

Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrested in Ukraine, who gave an interview to The Washington Post

Lapko and Khrus said they were given AK-47s and had a training session that lasted less than half an hour. When they fired 30 bullets, they were told they would not be given more because the ammunition was too expensive. Speaking about the conditions, they also shared that when their supply chains were interrupted due to shelling for two days, the military was forced to make do with one potato a day. There were also problems with water.

But they're not. The Russian army has proved itself to be among the top armies in the world today.

What you need to ask is who else in the world could have achieved what the Russian army has achieved in Ukraine? Yes we presume that for the US this would be a cake walk. But then the US couldn't conduct an orderly withdrawal against the Taliban. under Joe Biden's leadership who knows what spectacular failures are possible. The UK, France, Israel have high quality armies but they wouldn't have the numbers to invade Ukraine if it was a neighbour. Remember last time Israel invaded South Lebanon and went up against Hezbollah it was hardly a spectacular success.

So in terms of who else could do better, we really talking about the US, China and India. And do we know this for certain? Do we know for certain that in practice China and India would do better?. Maybe Pakistan and North Korea should be included as possible betters, but I'm deeply deeply sceptical.

Russia is most certainly not where it would like to be. Very possibly it is not where its military and political leadership thought it would be. But this must be Russia's hope. That Ukraine's leadership and their western advisors continue praising Ukraine's military to the heavens, continue scoffing at the effectiveness of the Russian military, assume that ultimate Ukrainian victory is 100% absolutely assured and above all else refuse to consider any reforms to the way the Ukrainian military is operating, punishing anyone inside Ukraine that dares to criticise Ukraine's military.

Monaco, Fiji, Vatican City, and Boy scout troop 15 from Hoboken, just to name a few. It should be noted that all of these I name do have adult supervision with the possible exception of Vatican City where, it must be admitted, the leadership tends to wear dresses more than is quite right.
