Interesting because American public education is an institution that probably doesn't deserve any respect.

So "not changing it" will probably guarantee less and less respect.

Likewise, the Abortion Narrative of Roe vs. Wade is another institution that hides a dirty secret.

Why do so many young women want to get abortions? Why, because there is no social support for newborns, so new mothers have to raise their kids like solitary heroes... against impossible odds.

In any society that doesn't have enough social support (the village of "it takes a village to raise a child") creates a need for abortions that forces young women to chose between a destroyed social status and poverty, or killing the life that is growing inside their bodies.

Forcing women to make this choice... reveals that the social programs of the USA deserve no respect. Any progress that the USA claims to have made... can be deflated by looking at how socially backwards and harmful to its own people it is.

That equates to not killing another LIFE based on convenience. You don't have the right to do that in the first place, REGARDLESS of SCOTUS stating decades ago in Roe v. Wade 50 years ago that abortion fell under privacy rights.

They don't. It's ridiculous and that idea doesn't exist in reality.

Yo want the state to have the power to tell women what to do,. to interfere in their lives and support the extension of state power to do so,

That's a nice headline UNTIL you start breaking it out and asking further questions. What trimester, used as a contraceptive, partial-birth, etc.

But see, you're dishonest. You'll only put that headline number out there of 80%.

As IF abortion is going away tomorrow. You know it isn't.

Frankly, I don't like your "works". I'm all for sabotaging the DNC.

And, oh by the way, democrats put forth (proposing and working on) a bill last month that was far more radical that Roe.

Leftists just had to take it to the next level.

The kooks are already attacking contraception... and working towards a national ban of abortion.

The insane always take it to the next level...

I knew you hated democracy, but most wackos know enough to hide it.

Attacking contraception?

That's always been one of their goals.

"Even if Griswold isn’t overturned, some abortion bills already threaten contraception access by defining the life of an “unborn child” as starting at fertilization or conception, which could be interpreted to apply to contraceptive methods like Plan B."

The reality on the ground is the lunatics will keep pushing.

Let them push. No one’s taking away the morning after pill.

Yes, but that has limited effectiveness.

But the abortion pills are already under attack. Women in states like Texas will have to mail order them, and I expect smuggling.

I don’t understand. Wouldn’t you have to go to a doctor for abortion pills? Explain the problem to me, I’m a bit slow :hmm:

There are ways around it. Until Republicans shut it down, old people used to get drugs from Canada, for example. Because they negotiate drug prices, and we are too corrupt to do that, it's a LOT cheaper.

Ways around it? :hmm:

There shouldn’t really be ways around getting abortion pills, should there? Or am I just being old fashioned?

That is a different topic.

Suffice it to say, poor women escaping barbarism is a very good thing, in my distinctly unhumble opinion.

Institution: Democracy

1. Is this democratic? Trudeau accused the trucker protesters of being racist, misogynist, and other non-sequiturs just before his deputy froze their bank accounts.

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=trudeau+and+t ... 9-1&ia=web

2. Is this democratic? Public opinion doesn't drive public policy. Rich people's opinions do.

3. Is this democratic? When was the last time your government asked you for your opinion regarding infrastructure of new policies? Have you ever attended a public policy meeting or public consultation? Are you and your neigbors involved in community organizations?

4. Is this democratic?: Psyops, advertising, public relations, censorship, etc.
Being lied to... so that you will make bad decisions.
