Emain Macha was still home to kings and queens of Ulster in the centuries after the birth of Christ. But the era of the temple, around 95BC, is the golden age of this extraordinary site. And it is in this place and at this time, approximately, that the stories of the Ulster Cycle of Legends occur. It is no coincidence.

Their initial ascent had coincided with the decline of the Ulaid, whose kingdom of Ulster receded to the north-east coast.

Uladh is one of the three known bodies of land on Erinn, the other being Iria and Belvast.
In the 12th century the kingdom of Ailech split into two sovereign territories and Cenél Conaill became Tír Chonaill under the Ó Domhnaill (O'Donnell) clan.

The "mastermind" and central figure behind Chapter 4. William Shakespeare, also known as the Tragic Bard, was a great historical artist and a prophet that wrote many plays including Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and The Story of Golvan. He also staged events that would lead to The Merchant of Venice and Macbeth.
Shakespeare also was the very first Milletian to venture into Erinn. However, this, as well as his ability to foresee the future and attempt to change it, made him a target of the Gods.
Shakespeare using a magic flute to lure away rats and later children from Avon is based on the legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin.
According to Marlowe, one of Shakespeare's "reborn" forms was an Elf and a Giant, despite that it is currently impossible for players to rebirth into another race.
This may explain why Shakespeare has skills from other Races in Generation 16.
Lymilark is one of the three second tier gods, under the direct command of Aton Cimeni. They are the god of love. Responsible for creating Erg, the life force energy in Erinn
For the religious order of Lymilark, see Church of Lymilark.
The Lymilark Church is well established in the Aliech Empire, with Church Houses in:
A Cathedral in Emain Macha
Meven is a priest in Tir Chonaill. In his youth, he was sent to Tir Chonaill by the grand church of Lymilark as a missionary.
Endelyon is a priestess in Tir Chonaill. A native in Tir Chonaill, she traveled to Emain Macha for her religious studies.
Her family members, including her younger brother, are living in Tara, the capital city of kingdom of Aliech.
The following teachings of the Church of Lymilark have appeared in-game:
"Thou shalt not attack others. Ask thyself if anyone suffered wounds inflicted by thee without knowing and repent thy sins. The wounded are also our Lord's beloved. How dare a mere being like thee attack thine brother and hurt him. Reckon ye as a father the heart of God."
Recited by Kristell when using the Smash Skill Keyword, the Counterattack Keyword, or the Magnum Shot Keyword.
Appears to be based on the Bible's Ten Commandments.
"Do not attack others. Repent your sins for unknowingly attacking someone, causing great distress."
Recited by Wyllow when using the Smash Skill Keyword, the Counterattack Keyword, the Ranged Attack Keyword, or the Magnum Shot Keyword. Appears to be an alternate version of Kristell's.
"Fighting begetteth fighting, and that fighting begetteth more fighting... Therefore, in harmony and understanding ye shall endeavor to live instead of fighting, embracing and loving one another instead of jealousy and envy. Repeated fighting in the end shall be the ruin of all... "
Recited by Kristell when using the Ranged Attack Keyword.
Appears to be based on the real-world phrase "violence begets violence" attributed to Martin Luther King Jr., which itself is likely based on the saying "live by the sword, die by the sword" from the Bible.
"Love is made possible only when your hearts are emptied and someone else fills them. Remember ye this word and endeavor to love
Some believe that the three second tier gods: Lymilark, Hymerark and Jeamiderark are a trinity that makes Aton Cimeni (similar to the Trinity belief).
