3rd IPCC report out today. "It is now or never" to massively act on climate change - Politics Forum.org | PoFo

Wandering the information superhighway, he came upon the last refuge of civilization, PoFo, the only forum on the internet ...

Pollution, global warming, urbanisation etc.

Good. Climate change nonscience is destroying Germany's economy to no purpose. The IPCC's warnings have all been nothing but absurd and objectively groundless hysteria mongering. One of the characteristic features of scams is extreme urgency: you have to act now, without thinking, reflecting, or getting any information from anywhere or anyone else. That's anti-fossil-fuel hysteria to a T.

...except we have been debating it since Dr. Hansen first testified about anthropogenic climate change.

It is true that the most recent report has been demanding the most urgent action, but this is true for all the reports. This is because the deadline for actions keeps approaching and therefore there is less time and more need for urgency.

This ongoing pattern of escalating urgency actually corroborates the claim of anthropogenic climate change.

Lurkers, I and others on this site have already proven that he is just wrong.

He keeps coming back to make his baseless assertions as if they are facts.

From article: https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-60984663

The next few years are critical, say the researchers, because if emissions aren't curbed by 2030, it will make it nigh on impossible to limit warming later this century.

 They have no idea the insane technologies we'll have later this century. We'll probably be able to geoengineer much of the planet and re-freeze the poles. We'll probably be able to make it rain whereever we want.

When climate refugees start appearing at your borders en masse and your food supplies dwindle while drought sweeps across the breadbasket, you may change your mind.

I find food , water, and safety to be important.

No, you have not been debating it since that time. You have merely been claiming the debate is over, and screaming for immediate, drastic action without any further debate, discussion or thought.
It is true that the most recent report has been demanding the most urgent action, but this is true for all the reports.

Bingo. They have all screamed for immediate, drastic action. The classic characteristic of a scam.
This is because the deadline for actions keeps approaching and therefore there is less time and more need for urgency.

Except that there is no credible empirical evidence -- none -- that there is any such deadline or urgency.
This ongoing pattern of escalating urgency actually corroborates the claim of anthropogenic climate change.

 No, it only confirms that the whole thing is an exercise in gaslighting.

This is all just an ad hominem directed at anyone who disagrees with your idea that climate change is a hoax.

I do not think this accusation of hysteria and gaslighting is true.

Having said all that, it seems that politicians agree with you that we should do nothing about it even if they agree with me that the science shows that ACC is real and dangerous.

See? You always have to resort to false and disingenuous mischaracterizations of my views. You have no choice. Climate change is obviously real, and has been for the earth's whole history. It is the absurd nonsciencical notion that climate change is governed by CO2 that is the hoax.
I do not think this accusation of hysteria and gaslighting is true.

But it actually is.

@Truth To Power

Yes, you believe that anthropogenic climate change is a hoax.

You are free to believe what you want, and I have no wish to discuss it with you.

If you have a clear, logical, and well supported argument showing that anthropogenic climate change is not happening, feel free to present it.

If you are merely going to dismiss people who disagree with you as gaslighting and hysterical, then we can have no meaningful discussion.

BlutoSays wrote:Climate change: Where the weather is always your fault

That depends. Most of the CO2 and other greenhouse gases currently in the atmosphere are due to western developed industrial states, such as the USA.

So, the climate (not weather, there is a difference) is only your fault if you are from the developed world. So most of us are not to blame.

and the only solution is more socialism.

If that is your claim, I heartily approve.

I admit it. I have no tolerance for your bullshit and manufactured lies.

Lurkers, we have found something the Bluto and us agree on.

We both/all admit it. We/I have no tolerance for your bullshit and manufactured lies.

He is sick of what he sees as our bullshit and manufactured lies.
And we are sick of what we see as his bullshit and manufactured lies.

So, what we have here is a failure to communicate. Somehow one side can't see the truth the other side is peddling. It is likely that only one side can be correct.
