Rancid wrote:Yea, I was reading how the Russians are moving troops from Donbas to Kherson and how that's a potential sign things aren't going well (i.e. potentially running out of cannon fodder). The claim is Russia has 4x more troops in the Kherson region now compared to 2 weeks ago in anticipation of this counter offensive. That said, you also wonder if Ukraine has enough man power and equipment to at least probe/harass the thinned Eastern front now that Russia move people out.

Winter is coming. Russia, of all countries, ought to be thinking about that.

When I was in the Army in Europe we trained for fighting in the winter. It well and truly sucks. It sucks worse if your supply lines are vulnerable. Among others, petroleum gets eaten up very quickly with the engine idling. The Ukrainian winter is worth a few divisions to the Ukrainian defenders.

It is obvious that Russian AD is pretty poor. Another myth bites the dust.

JohnRawls wrote:So what now Igor? Russia is out of manpower mobilisation potential and the last reserves have been mobilized basically. It is either declare mass mob or loose war? Do you think that Putin will do it? Tell me? Will he put his head in jeopardy by declaring mass mob to have a chance in Ukraine or he will just loose?

We all know the answer to that. He is a pussy and will never put his own head in risk of rebellion. Same goes for his cronies but the manpower pool is over. So what to do? But then again, loosing the war puts himself open to rebellion. Then again, mass mob people might turn the weapons against him and the outcome is not certain. So much for being a great strategist

Russia is advancing in Donbas, ukrainian sources:

Any news about new HIMARS paid by American taxpayers and destroyed by Russian taxpayers over the head of Zelensky's media platform, i.e. Ukrainian people?

No because none of them have been destroyed yet. The US confirmed this last week. And they will know since the missiles used are guided by GPS and so on so it is easy for US to find out which units fire what missiles.

Do you have proof that any of them have been destroyed? Any picture that shows a destroyed HIMARs? Clear videos can be shown also if you can see a HIMARs.

With how much damage they are causing the Russians, it would be all over the news if even 1 was destroyed.

Zelensky is getting very rich by enabling Western oligarchs.

three giant corporations -- Cargill, DuPont and Monsanto -- bought seventeen million hectares of Ukraine agricultural land. That's sixty percent (60%) of the total agricultural land in Ukraine!

Once again, NATO (and its docile, over-fed citizens) are being used to prop up American imperialism abroad.

Putin is a imperialist, if you weren't blinded by hate, you'd see it.

You'd also notice what Putin is doing could land us in a nuclear WW3...

What Putin is doing?

You mean, "preventing Western oligarchs from buying another nation state?"

Is this illegal now?

Russia wants buffer states in case they get invaded, Ukraine is just the first of several on his agenda. The next ones are in NATO.

This statement is dangerous because many people would think it is normal or even justified for Russia to want some buffer states.

Fortunately, I firmly believe that Russia does not deserve independence because everyone around him wants to join NATO or is already an NATO member.

(Yes my stand is extremely close to litwin's)

That's complete nonsense. None of those companies are listed among the country's largest land owners.

You're a lying dipshit, Quatz.

Putin has repeatedly said that he fears invasion from NATO. Can anyone here point to any reason, before Russia attacked an sovereign nation, that NATO countries would want to invade Russia. A large nuclear power?

Your post has 3 Likes, despite the fact that this is just wrong. Russia has continued to make advances, not just back and forth. It recently captured the village of Travneve north of Horvlika to give just one example. Perhaps Russian advances are at an even slower pace than before, but so far the Russian advance has been inexorable. The set backs from the advances towards Kiev and around Kharkov were significant and embarrassing for Russia's leadership, but they did not reverse the overall direction of travel

We're now well into August, month after month, after month you and other posters have predicted the immanent collapse of the Russian army. It just hasn't happened. Is it perhaps not time to make a reconciliation with reality?
