@Rich so far McCarthy's impeachment inquiry announcement (which hasn't been voted on, and therefore isn't actually happening yet), seems to be in trouble. Additionally, if the MAGA wing of the party holds up the budget that needs to be passed in the next couple of weeks. It will be clear who held it up. This can sway independent voters away from at least, certain republican candidates.
Forgetting about right/wrong for a moment. From a pure political gaming standpoint. McCarthy isn't playing the game very well. He should have back stabbed the MAGA wing by now (this is his speakership downfall). He probably could have dealed with a few Democrats to replace their votes. This would have gained him favor with both non-MAGA Republicans, and at least some Democrats for "reaching across the isle". It would have also given him the "optics" of "I'm a leader, that reaches across party lines because I place the American people above party politics". Of course, that's bullshit, but the point is, it's a game. He's playing it poorly.
From what I can tell, Republicans in the house have lower IQs than Democrats in the house. McConnel would have thrown MAGA under the bus if he were speaker right now.
If you still support Trump, you are a traitor, a moron, or both. There is no other possible category.
