Wait, what ?!?

I dont know what you remember from that time, but I do remember what happened here. The west was hugely disappointed that Russia took Crimea in 2014.

Our newspapers had been full of reports of how Russia invaded Crimea back then (they didnt) and how the referendum to join Russia was faked (it of course wasnt).

After all the west just succeeded to execute a coup d'etat install their puppet regime in Ukraine. One of the main reasons was to cut off Russias access to the black sea. Which Russia regained after Crimea joined Russia.

I remember it well, and the reports the western mainstream media circulated at the time.

The german press paid a russian to tell the story of the russian invasion. Except that guy took the money, then immediately told the local press how the western press had paid him to tell these lies. Very embarassing for our press.

They also reported that during the referendum the boxes to collect the votes would be made of glas. Yes. And ? That actually makes manipulations harder, not easier. Since the votes themselves are folded, you cannot see how people vote. Which is why I've seen this here in Germany, too, any nobody reports it here as a proof that german elections are manipulated.

And to repeat what I've said before, we know the west executed the coup d'etat in Ukraine because the USA was caught redhanded even before the coup d'etat happened. Also because the US boasted about funding the opposition in Ukraine with billions of dollars, and western politicians did public stunts like distributing cookies on the Maidan. Also because the victim of the coup d'etat, the sitting president, was at the time of the coup the most popular politician of Ukraine - and thus would have been save from any coup d'etat by his own people.

Besides we also know for sure that the referendum in Crimea was correct. Because we also had a referendum in the Donbas at the same time, which also had compareable results. Except Putin refused to accept this offer because the loss of the Donbas would hurt Ukraine economically.

Our glorious media also failed to report on the fact that ever since there was a civil war in Ukraine. After all, this was a civil war against OUR puppet regime in Ukraine, the socalled "modern democracy".

And about Ukraine not wanting to take Crimea back, thats also not true at all. Ukraine terrorized Crimea every way they could, such as cutting its water off.

Crimea, plain and simple, didnt want to be part of Ukraine anymore because everyone knew it was the west who had organized the coup d'etat and it was the west who put nazis into power. Nazis who wanted to remove everyone who speaks russian from Ukraine. Despite that being 30% of the population. And in Crimea specifically, that was simply 99% of the population.

So another funny situation in Russia, another terrorist acts have happened and seem to be coordinated by Islamist radicals.(Actually 2 but we are interested on the attack on the christian churches and synagogues plus police) Once again, showing how prioritisation of resources for war weakens all the other aspects of life in Russia. And the most funnyist thing is that the terrorists were direct families of some region heads while the people that actually organised them were by the looks of it members of United Russia party(Putins party). :knife:

Yes indeed, "hugely disappointed".

Russia blatantly annexed territory from another country, a first in Europe since WW2. Yet the response was a bit of sanctions. Hell if Russia didn't start a war in Donbas at the same time, it might not even have been that.

In retrospective, that was a huge mistake of course. Ukraine should have been armed to the teeth as a response back then.

Negotiator wrote:Our newspapers had been full of reports of how Russia invaded Crimea back then (they didnt) and how the referendum to join Russia was faked (it of course wasnt).

Even Putin later admitted that he sent the "soldiers without insignia". The referendum was faker than fake. The result alone tells us as much. Apparently you never had a referendum in your life.

Negotiator wrote:Nazis who wanted to remove everyone who speaks russian from Ukraine.

Utter nonsense. Nobody wanted to remove Russian-speakers in Ukraine. Russian-speakers are fighting the invading Orcs as we speak. The Ukrainian military is led by a man born and educated in Russia.

Meanwhile millions were displaced as a consequence of Russia's brutal war of aggression.

Negotiator wrote:Despite that being 30% of the population. And in Crimea specifically, that was simply 99% of the population.

99%, sure. One of your usual straight-up lies.

According to Ukrainian statistics 89% of the country believe in victory over Russia while 9% believe that they just need to hold out somehow with 2% being undecided. I know the source is obviously biased but its the best we got right now.

Also in some other good news, Russia will soon deplete its MT-LB stocks with may be around 300 remaining out of 2700 pre-war storage in reserve. And obviously those 300 remaining are in a bad state.

What do all of you think of the idea that we are already in WWIII. The idea being, that the information war is global which does have a direct impact on things like support for Ukraine. Apparently Ukraine special ops is targeting Wagner forces in Africa as well? So I guess it is multi-theater as well.

We are not. The operations through social media pre-date the war and it goes even before 2014 and Syria. Although 2014 and Syria definately escalated the media "information war" for the first time to the people who actually were attentive. Brexit and Trump election interferences were not really "news" also for those who were attentive and more of "expected outcome".

Also for a WW3 to happen it needs to be a world war and I don't see many participants on the Russian side besides Russia. For all the talk, China is not helping much because it doesn't want to get cut off from US and EU markets which will cripple it. Iran is kinda busy with its own stability in the region and its internal problems with the upcoming succession of the leader and the main candidate just dying in an air crash there is significant turmoil bound to happen in the country ignoring even the whole Israel and the regional situation. North Korea is basically North Korea and regime that can't provide much help and actually it might have been a bad idea to ask them. If South Korea desides to counter the North Korean threat then Russia is fucked because South Korean military industry is actually super advanced and can pump out 20 times more and more advanced equipment for Ukraine if need arises which it seriously does now if Norks send some engineering detachments to Ukraine.

So even the countries that Russia is saying is "helping" them but in reality Chinese are not and scared shitless, Iran is too busy with its own shit and North Korea is a hermit kingdom that might trigger South Korea to take real interest in the war which is really, really bad for Russia considering industry wise South Korea is actually on par with whole of Russia.

yes, we are already in WWIII, and Moscow empire has no allies

Moscow plotted to kill an investigative journalist in Austria. Now his home is protected by officers with submachine guns.

Austrian govt needs to realize the hurt they feel from their EU allies is the hurt from sitting on a big fence, When Moscow horde attacks neighbor, your can be a helpful friend, or you can be part of the next front if Ukraine's 'friends' let it crumble. "Middle ground' does not exist.

the only solution :

Why are you unhappy at being called orc, killer or rapist when Russian army is killing and raping in Ukraine while you support it? Shouldn't you get the labels associated with things that you support? Russian side is literally the one that is sending its people in to cannon fodder charges, bombing ukrainians cities with bombs at just buildings where people live and raping people in Ukraine and not the other way around.
