froggo wrote:Actually Negotiator, the reason why Trump is so popular is because he taps into simple people's predilection for despising what they don't understand.
It's also quite curious that you would go on about how America has been a plutocracy since its inception or whatever, and yet claim that Billionaire egomaniac Donald Trump is the first person to break the cycle of the rich helping the rich and show that those in power really do care about poor people.

Also, whereas a few posts ago, there was no WAY Donald Trump even closely inched America towards a dictatorship during his presidency; now suddenly America was already a dictatorship way before he was ever president?

It's difficult to take your views seriously when there are such blatant disconnects.

@Negotiator has little credibility on pofo.

Aha.

Thats probably why I get so many likes here.

Spoiler Alert: If all you have as "counterargument" is insults, then you have no counterargument.

I guess Hollywood is still in charge of the USA's governance, despite never having been elected by anyone.

Guy Debord is laughing at us from his grave. Americans are now voting for mafia-provided candidates based on what Mafia media tells us about them.

Mafia kingpin Trump... against Mafia ho Harris...

The winner will be... the Mafia.

The loser will be... you and I. Big time.

He's got to be absolutely steaming that he got "shot" and that nobody gives a shit now. The way I see it there's 3 possibilities:

1) The bullet was near his ear, but never touched it. Completely possible to have minor wounds from a bullet passing near but never touching the skin, given its speed and the way it disrupts air around it.

2) Shrapnel from the teleprompter

3) It actually hit

Either way, nobody seems to care anymore. In fact, half the nation was going, "I wish it had hit him."

Then he further fucked up that momentum by picking a doughy, race-mixing groyper who has hours and hours of video and audio of himself obsessing over how women need to make more babies. A man so fucking weird and off putting that the internet was able to push LBJ's pigfucker strategy, but for couches, into the public discourse.

And what is JD Vance's platform? What does he stand for?

What kind of administrative changes will these two people make?

Do you care? Does their platform even matter to you?

Or are you a hopeless peasant that knows that whoever you vote for will do whatever the banksters tell them to do, so you're just cackling at any human weaknesses that these vassals reveal?

Is it your contention that America will be exactly the same place in two years regardless of who wins the election? That the UK will remain exactly as it was under the Tories even though Labour now hold the reins?

Here in Canada, a vote for Trudeau is a vote for Poilievre, because, you know, banks?

I live in Alberta, and I vote NDP. Not because I'm particularly enamoured with their policies, but rather, because I'm afraid of the alternative. Unfortunately, here in USA north, that alternative is almost always in power.

Well, we do know what he believes. What he would do is tempered by what he could, I guess, but you are surprised that we oppose this man?

J.D. Vance Endorsed Book That Calls Progressives “Unhumans” and Praises Jan. 6 Rioters

Vance endorsed a new book co-written by a far-right conspiracy-monger that calls progressives “unhumans” and claims they are waging an “Irregular Communist Revolution” against American civilization.

Vance apparently found this Manichean view worthy of his endorsement, and he provided a blurb that Posobiec and Lisec have used to peddle their volume:

In the past, communists marched in the streets waving red flags. Today, they march through HR [Human Resources], college campuses, and courtrooms to wage lawfare against good, honest people. In Unhumans, Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec reveal their plans and show us what to do to fight back.

The book (with a foreword written by Steve Bannon) is a far-right declaration of war that accuses conservatives of not understanding that the left cares only about one thing: revolution to achieve total control. The unhumans aim to “kill the people who have more” than they do. As they put it, “On a base level, unhumans seek the death of the successful and the desecration of the beautiful.” They decry the far left atrocities of the past (the French Revolution and the communist revolutions in Russia, China, and elsewhere) and claim the same malignant force is shaping the present, noting that the “chief institutions of consensus-making” in today’s society “are controlled by radicals and infiltrated by unhumans.” The book comes across as modern-day McCarthyism: This dark menace has infiltrated nooks and crannies across America, from the boardroom to the classroom to even churches. No surprise, Posobiec and Lisec have plenty of praise for Sen. Joseph McCarthy.

In their view, the dangerous unhumans are everywhere. The Civil Rights movement? Mounted by unhumans. Critics of hate speech? Unhumans. The Black Lives Matter protests? Organized by unhumans. In fact, they compare the BLM protests of 2020 to the terror of the French Revolution, noting, “There is no way to reason with those who manipulate the have-nots en masse to loot and to shoot. They simply hate those who are good-looking and successful.” (Yes, they wrote that.)

Yeah, how needs to know what the platforms are when you can just vote for culture-war-memes and identity politics references.

Chosing between diet Coke and diet Pepsi... when you know that both products will rot the teeth out of your head and steal all your drinking water... means you have to really concentrate on things like label design and marketing jingles. Which does the best ads that make you laugh?

Forget about content. We are too stupid to vote for content, only style. This is a side-effect of too much propaganda in your diet.

Well sure, the switch from centre right to centre left isn't going to bring about any seismic changes, but changes there will be. For instance, the Rwanda idea was binned on the first day.

Imagine a country calling itself "a democracy" where the candidates tell various party-flavored-lies before the election, and then continue the agenda of the billionaires as soon as the election is over and the cameras have stopped snapping victory pix.

Imagine the citizens of that 'democracy' watching Hollywood-generated fictional scenarios that are targeted at manipulating their vote using emotions.

It's not democracy any more, and it never was. Killing all the original inhabitants and replacing them with traumatized refugee mercenaries... is not democracy. It's fascism and it always was. The "democracy" label of the genocide-settler-colonial projects... is simply branding.

The world can no longer sustain this kind of treachery. This is what is making this election (and these olympics) so hollow and fake.

The question we should be asking ourselves is "What is the rest of the world likely to do to our masters - and to us sheep who enable genocides, ethnic-cleansings, assasinations and resource theft ?"

When will the rest of the world realize that it can't endure being the target of our nasty oligarch warlords? And what technologies will they use to try to stop our continued destruction of the planet?

God damn just shut up Qatz. JD Vance is a uniquely weird product of American Silicon Tech Valley culture and 4chan inceldom.

He's literally the least popular VP pick in this, if not multiple, generations and nobody likes him. Even Trump is shitting on his own VP candidate. It's as historically bad of a VP pick as McCain/Palin.

We all like weed but put down the bong dude.

Well I'm on it, here is my take on JD Vance:

Fucking loser. Always has been, always will be. Got lucky and got to go to Yale or whatever Ivy League monster factories we have on the east coast. Married his equally bloodthirsty and ambitious Indian descended wife he met there. She was making 6 figures as a paralegal or some shit at a white shoe law firm.

She left that job so Vance could wear guyliner and be in politics, bankrolled by notorious literal vampire Peter Thiel. And they're such out of touch weirdos that they thought Vance courting Peter Thiel and a bunch of incel podcasts about how white women need to have more babies was the Path to Success. Like, no joke, you can find multiple podcasts where Vance is just engaging seriously with rightwing brainrot bottom feeders in conversations like,

Dipshit Bottomfeeder: "So if we outlaw abortion in one state, of course (((GEORGE SOROS))) is going to fly women from Indiana to California for abortions. How do we stop that?"

JD Vance, applying more eye shadow: "That's a good question. But what does Pepe the frog think?"

Pepe the frog: "NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIi*******************************************"

No sympathy for either of them. Usha Vance is a complete piece of shit who is perfectly fine with her husband stoking the fires of racism because she and her children are insulated from it because of their wealth. They're overeducated, overcompensated idiots who don't realize the most basic fact of working with Trump: Trump will survive, you will be absolutely fucked and left to drown in his wake. Losers, losers, losers. I'm glad he's sacrificing his political career to be the guy whose legacy is "the guy who fucked a couch."

Oh and just as an aside I have literally pissed off an entire white shoe law firm by getting access to their CEO's phone number. They're all idiots who love to work weekends, because how else are you going to hit 60+ hours a week?

I can't stress how stupid you have to be to accept the VP Nomination under a Trump ticket.

Pence, Trump's last VP, had to be protected by the Secret Service because Trump summoned a mob to murder him while he was certifying the election.

On top of being creepy, Vance has very little sense of that survival instinct that helps you avoid danger. That, or he values his life and his family so little (and I would agree with his assessment that his life is worth little) that he's willing to bet it on working with the most chaotic man to ever serve as POTUS.

SpecialOlympian wrote:...JD Vance, applying more eye shadow: "That's a good question. But what does Pepe the frog think?"...

What is his platform?

Will the voters make him stick to it after the election?

Or is the notion that "politicians are supposed to announce a platform to campaign on" just a conspiracy theory?
#15322590
Thanks for the Trump platform.

But since politicians virtually never fulfill these platforms, they are more like advertising campaigns for products that are just sugar and water.

"Taste the difference!" rather than an actual strategy for ending homelessness, unemployment, lack of education options, and inequality.

Trump platform wrote:End the weaponization of government against the american people

This is from the pres who moved the USA embassy to Jerusalem, and assassinated an Iranian leader.

So his real platform is still a secret. You have only revealed his "phony" platform for voters. I want to see the real platforms of both candidates - the one they will be legally bound to fulfill.
