Anyway, similar to the "Ukraine is about collapse" that has been stated like 5 times on this thread and hasn't happened. Over on the Russian side, we keep hearing manpower shortage, and equipment shortage, but yet... they continue.

Of course, all of this is an embarrassment for Russia, but Putin's grip on the system is strong.

I understand that in war, nothing happens, until all of a sudden a lot happens, but dunno. This is just going to continue on and on it seems.

Admiral Kuznetsov: Moscow's 'Heavy Aircraft-Carrying Cruiser' Is 'Beyond Saving'

Is there any better example of Muscovite ’s severe manpower shortage that a sailor from Moscow only aircraft carrier (broken) ends up being thrown into the front line.

A Muscovite sailor on the only aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov was sent in Northern Kharkiv to assault the Ukrainian position.

Well somebody made fun of me for warning about it, but now it has happened.

First in my very own country, Germany, no less.

German source: https://www.nachdenkseiten.de/?p=119125

Translation:
"Hessen is no longer issuing replacement papers to Ukrainian men between the ages of 18 and 60," according to recent media reports. According to this, it should be "reasonable" to "travel to Ukraine to obtain a passport and comply with compulsory military service".

Which currently is simply a death sentence. The ukrainians simply have no more time to actually train new soldiers. They've never been good at that in the first place, and now they are so desperately out of men its worse than ever.

So yes: the ukrainians arent human beings. They are merely cannon fodder. Their lifes dont matter. It can be thrown away for a war that has been lost, and has been lost for quite a while now. Thats just fine.

As some people here said before, the ukrainians all just waste their lifes partying anyway. Because clearly partying is a crime thats worthy the death sentence.

Another example how utterly worthless western mainstream press is to say that this would be "reasonable".

“Reasonable” is a codeword for “do what we tell you or else”. After all, any reasonable person would accept an offer they can’t refuse. Baddabing-baddaboom! :)

And yes, the West doesn’t really care about Ukrainians, and has never cared about them. If they had, they wouldn’t have used their country as proxy in their geopolitical conflict with Russia. The Ukrainians were clearly always expendable pawns in the Cold War 2.0. And the time has now come to expend them….

So Ukraine got their first 10 F-16, which is supposed to "raise" to 20 at the end of the year. The later statement assumes that the first 10 still exists at that time, though.

https://tass.com/world/1825115

AFAIK Ukriane only has 6 pilots which have any degree of F-16 training. And they are far from well trained.

I am also not aware that Ukraine has any airfields which can be used to actually start the F-16; any such lauching area gets bombed by Russia, which would of course also destroy the F-16 on the ground if they get them in sight.

Ah well. Reportedly Ukraine has been using old 1950s Leopard 1 tanks, too. I dont get what these old tanks are even using for ammunition, because ammunition doesnt last this long in storage and there shouldnt be much new production of this ammunition type, either.

So the Ukrainian incursion into Krushchevian Russia is interesting. OK this is just wild speculation, maybe even wishful thinking on my part, but could this actually be a move towards peace. If Ukraine was to control some 1991 territory could it make a ceasefire more acceptable to moderate Ukrainian nationalists. The idea being that the ceasefire would be sold as a preliminary to swapping territory back.

Early on I raised the idea that after a ceasefire there could be some sort of land swap to rationalise and shorten the border. While a long way from ideal the current front lines make for a much better long term border than the 2015 lines. I've become doubtful that any such swap will be politically possible. The cease fire lines will be the permanent peace line even if that means Ukraine gains territory from Russia in some places.
