OK, this is an EASY bet. He will 100% lose the popular vote. There is no question about that. No fucking question.

Are you REALLY that disconnected from reality?

Those "some" Republicans are really "some" a few people. Those are a few people who put their own interests over the party's interests.

Not sure if Harris can certainly win popular vote. She just has popularity problem. It is haunting her.

I feel like you don't understand how unprecedented various Republicans (and also Republican voters BTW) openly saying they plan to vote for the other party is. While I understand and agree that this is not what wins elections (the only poll that matters is the one on election day), it still should be a red flag.

Instead, you choose to eat your own shit.

Then again, you're some weirdo foreigner that likes fascism.

Hell, Tucker Carlson has texts in the legal record saying he hates Trump and wants him to go away. Guess what? Republicans don't have values aside from hating women and minorities. They will stick to and will support Trump no matter what if he wins.

The same ~moral Republicans~ who say they oppose Trump are just dipshits. Carlson just had a Nazi apologist on his show. Like an actual, "The West was actually too mean to Hitler," apologist on. Who cares what they think?

Like I don't give a shit that Dick Cheney says he's voting for Kamala. He lives in fucking Wyoming, that state is going red no matter what and his daughter's political brand is "Anti-Trump Republican" so it's not surprising he wouldn't go against her for no gain whatsoever. That's like me taking a principaled stance on voting for Jill Stein to protest the Israeli genocide of Palestinians while living in California. California is still going blue, if I say I'm not voting for Kamala I'm just asking people to pat me on the back for being so brave.

"Bluh bluh bluh I'll vote for the other party in a state they won't win," is the most irrelevant dipshits wishcasting for attention. And people are idiots for giving it to them.

Even if Trump loses badly to Harris and disappears from the public stage forever, it’s already too late for the Republican party. As I keep saying, Trump is a symptom, not a cause. All he did was to reveal what was already there - that the Republicans are unprincipled opportunists, and have been so for many decades now. It’s a zombie party, which can be hijacked by the first unscrupulous populist who comes along. Even if Trump disappears, a more competent version of him will come along and do what he did again. It’s only a matter of time now.

@Potemkin :

I think that it was you my friend that said (correctly in my opinion) that you thought that the GOP would become the Fascist party while the Democrats would become the Communist/Socialist.

I think that in ordinary times a Nationalist and Populist party will carry no more than about 20-30% of the popular vote. However, this is by no means an ordinary time.

Rightwing thought in America is basically a personality disorder writ large and given undue legitimacy because everyone is too polite to state the obvious. I hope it goes out the way the only principaled rightwinger I respect does, like Bill Cooper

You aren't AMERICAN, THE GREATEST PERSON TO BE, you don't understand this. Nobody can swoop in and be Trump. You can't "make" another Trump. He speaks to the soul of everyone who is no longer invited to family events because their heads are filled with racist pudding. He goes on stage and says, You fucking pig people need 10 flushes with the liberal low flow toilets. But not me, that's for you, you hideous hogmen." And he doesn't get cheered because of what he actually says, which is complete nonsense, but because he creates a safe space for America's worst people to have the sense of togethernesss they lost after drunkenly leaving twelve voicemails calling their nonbinary nephew a faggot. He is the Id of the American rightwing.

Like, you're British right? Close enough, doesn't matter to me. Look at Celebrated Loser Marine Le Pen losing again. She eats shit, but not in the same way. Tell me she has the charisma to carry off way more hate with less success than Trump. She is a dedicated, racist loser with an actual plan and she just keeps eating shit because she can't get on a stage and say,

"You're fired. I'm joking, I'd never fire a Fireman. Fire a fireman, you hear me there? I bet the liberal media will take that out of context. You built our country, firemen built our country. But you know what? Oprah has been very mean to me."

If I thought you didn't live in a toybox filled with action figures meant for children I could run your country in five fucking minutes. But I choose to live in AEMRICA, THE GREATEST COUNTRY.

I like you a lot Potemkin. I'm high on mushroom chocolates, which are shockingly legal from my loal weed dispensary despite me suspeting they're research chemicals and not actual shrooms. I value your opinion and it makes my day when you like one of my posts.

I consider it part of my profession. As a lapsed Christian, my service to the lowest leper; not because my faith compels me but because I have the ability and the abundant wealth to share:

I ask someone: How may I help you?

They respond, "Trump! N*****! Nig- (on repeat becaue it's twiter)

I do not let them harden my heart. I will never be unkind to another person who may need help because they are a 4chan troll. Trolls only want attention, and sometimes they need attention. I will always be there for them. Ready to cradle them. In long, flowing white silken robes because it is demanded of my professionz as a professional future knower.

It is a burden I take on for others, to relieve them of the fear of Now.

It’s not where the parties are that matters, it’s where they’re going. And their trajectories are becoming increasingly clear, especially in the case of the Republican party.

It seems Jill Stein failed to get into the Nevada ballot despite gathering the signatures because her campaign is so incompetent that they filed for requesting a referendum instead of requesting to participate in the general election

And being cognizant of that fact, which is of universal application, is the justification for many actions that the wise in politics take that the unwise fail to appreciate or understand.

If Trump loses badly, the party could certainly change. Not back to the old Reaganite conservatism, but to a more tempered form of Trumpism. Unfortunately, it will probably be close and MAGA will double down on the crazy shit.

Basically yes. We will be locked into a battle with stupidity every 4 years now.

"We need a strong Republican party."

-Nancy Pelosi, every day of her life

It is infuriating to watch a political party fumble time and time again when the opposition wants to put a cop in eery woman's vagina. They only recently discovered that calling the rightwing weird works. Just fucking pathetic.

as Putin teasingly says he supports Harris

“We had the current president, Mr. Biden, as our favorite but he was taken out of the race. He recommended all his supporters back Mrs. Harris, so we will too,” Putin said with a wry smile and an arched eyebrow.

Harris, he said, has an “expressive and infectious laugh,” which shows “she’s doing well.”

If Harris is doing well, then “perhaps she will refrain” from imposing more sanctions on Russia, Putin said. Some members of the audience were pictured laughing at his remarks...

Putin has prvented the Democrats from using "Trump is a Russian troll" as their platform again. Good move, and it shows that Russia is more of a fan of democracy than the West currently is.

While I agree with you that "Trump is a symptom,"... I would add that "so is Harris...." They are both symptoms of a mortal state illness. And what we are seeing now in the media is censorship as a means of ensuring that no one can learn from history.

With no history out there to learn from (censored)... the made-stupid will elect another symptom.
