Verv wrote:... If Trump does what he says in his tweets, the American republic will be fine.

Let's also take a moment to appreciate that at one point in time the American Republic had states that kept people as slaves and no women's suffrage.

It's a bit rich to pretend that the right to aborting a child or the restriction of mass migration to the country is going to be the death knell of the American republic & its legacy of democracy, lol.

So basically, you have no fucking clue what he says in his tweets. I mean wtf? Why are you deliberately burying your head in the sand?

Make your case that he is going to use the military to destroy peacefully assembled protestors and hunt down Democrats instead of acting exasperated that I do not already accept this absurd conclusion of yours.

Task Force 2-504, part of the 82nd Airborne Division, was deployed to Washington D.C. on June 1, 2020, in response to civil unrest within the National Capital Region (NCR). The Immediate Response Company, Charlie Company, 2-504 PIR, departed within 8 hours of notification, followed swiftly by the rest of the IRB1 and elements of the Brigade Headquarters.

The National Capital Region (NCR) encompasses Washington, DC; Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in Maryland; Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties in Virginia; and the incorporated cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax, and Manassas in Virginia. The NCR is about 2,500 square miles (6,475 sq km).

What's up with this wild denial of Fascism in your party?

The level of denial you have displayed is bonkers. Why is this so challenging for you?

Do you plan to join any violent unrest orchestrated by the right after the election?

It's sad you are falling into this shit so hard.

Well, thank you for fucking it all up because your dear leader is a bitch and can't take a loss.

@Verv really believes liberals and the ones in the White House Democratic party members in the government want to destroy traditional American values and etc. I think he believes that.

He believes in transgender types being a threat to his way of life.

He believes borders being invaded by some desperate Latin Americans is a threat to America.

He believes in all the bullshit coming out of Trump's mouth. He is a believer.

I do think he is who he is.

I do not believe in almost anything Verv believes in.

He is the kind of person who puts a freak in charge and there is a huge problem and then he regrets it.

It reminds me of his other mistakes with me--where he assumed I was this or that because I was leftist.

He assumes a lot of things that are not true and he painfully has to accept he put his foot in his mouth.

He should realize by now, that a person with bad moral character is very common in politics. His job is not to protect a fictional way of American life, but to embrace change based on creating justice in a society that has run on injustice for far too long.

But I do not think he really can.

He truly thinks his group is superior to others. Once you believe that? You are doomed. You will lose in huge surprises of all sorts because he never got that whatever happens in other human societies in the past? Can happen to your group easily. Simply because we are all the same species.

As we get closer to the election, it's becoming more and more surreal. Trump is lying openly without any respect for those who support him. He knows they will believe whatever he says, no matter how outlandish, simply because they want to.

When I first came to Canada back in 1984 I could not quite believe what I was seeing when I got up with a cup of coffee and sat watching American TV on a Sunday morning. I couldn't believe that people would send money to a tele-evangelist who was so obviously lying to them for his own personal gain.

There are a lot of extremely stupid, gullible people in America. It's like the country is split in two, with the exceptionalism that developed the most powerful industrial nation on the planet, went to the moon and won the cold war, trying gamely to move on into the 21st Century with the rest of the western world, all the while struggling with the half that still mourns the loss by the Confederacy, and tries to make up for it by wearing stupid red hats and buying Trump bibles.

I'm looking forward to being pleasantly stunned on Election Night by a landslide of sane, reasonable people who think about the facts before they vote. If that doesn't happen, I'll just be glad I'm in Canada.

About the Bible in Politics, annatar1914 wrote:...Anything written can be distorted, by distorters....

And that's one of the beauties of Abrahamic texts: they can easily be distorted to condone any kind of atrocity that a government or organized crime gang might want to commit.

It's a good thing for the world's hegemonic mass murderers that the creator of the universeTM left a vague document full of cut-and-paste plagiarism from other religions that they could boss people around with.

"Hey, the creator of the universe said it was okay to enslave animals and commit genocide against yucky demonsTM."

...terrifying cannabalistic giants that they had to exterminate for their own safety...

This looks very similar to the reference to "the merciless Indian Savages, whose known Rule of Warfare, is an undistinguished Destruction, of all Ages, Sexes and Conditions" in the Declaration of Independence of the USA. See how useful the Bible was in justifying genocide after genocide after genocide?

Just yesterday I discovered this guy, Tom Homan. Have you ever heard of him? He and Trump say that he’s going to run Trump’s plan to deport 10 million Mexicans, whether here legally or not. White nationalism demands it. Some say that, with his “absolute immunity” from Supreme Court, Trump will go full-Stalin with gulag concentration camps for 10-20 million immigrants for Homan and National Guard to deport back to Mexico. Is that possible? I don’t want to find out. Vote!!

Here in the U.S., we have Earth-1 and Earth-2.

Earth-1 is populated by people like you and me who care about things like truth, facts, and science, Earth-2 is populated by MAGA people who do not. For them, it’s only their cult leader.

Pewty, I am never surprised by what people believe in.

I used to have to--due to work--listen in on School Board Meetings. In the USA. Colorado, California, etc. who would speak? There were the parents who wanted the bible in every public classroom, and the Pledge of Alliegance to the Flag in every school all the time. They wanted their version of history being taught in the classrooms and so on.

Most hated the thought of having to share a classroom with kids who were not from their own neighborhood full of wealthy people of the same class, race and income level in the right zipcode. Sharing money, power and status with the kids who's parents washed their cars, checked their groceries and prepared their meals at local restaurants was a HORROR they would prevent at any cost.

So, people continue to believe that the US is a world of equal playing fields and equality and social mobility.

They have failed to understand that if a group of people is willing to cut short the opportunities of children who are from parents with little formal educations and who live in bad neighborhoods? They do not understand how they are such a force to be reckoned with in MAGA.

Wake up people. The class conscious shit and flying out of hoods that are filled with crime and poverty because that is the part of town the Blacks, Latinos and Immigrants have to live in? Is an OLD reality in the USA.

Trump knows how to manipulate those people.

They again are fear based thinkers. If someone who is not them are getting an education and or their children are getting ahead it has to be at the cost of denial of the rights of others. That is who you are dealing with.

How do those people get checked? You have to make them lose hard. And impose laws that make them lose hard.

If you do not? Then they do take over the society and all the horrors of fearful thinking becomes the norm.

It snowballs and only really bad conflicts will resolve the issue down the line.

Just study history.

The haters only stop when they are forced to stop.

They do not respect human rights.

Absurd conclusion?

A few examples:
- Trump said the CBS license should be revoked. He said the same about ABC. Basically, he wants to take two major tv networks offline because he felt mistreated by them.
- He wants a televised military tribunal for Liz Cheney.
- He said the fraud in the 2020 election "allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution".
- His VP candidate said Trump should ignore SCOTUS rulings if necessary.

Basically, if you take Trump seriously, and he gets his will (both big IFs obviously), the American republic is history.

Yes it is. I highlighted that part.

They fail to understand that.

No one is going to stop moving forward when the internal strife and destabilizing factors come into view in the USA.

It could be he is a figurehead.
But the reality is the ones who drafted that 2025 Project are not figureheads. It is a long term plan for the USA.

It is incredibly divisive. And it will fracture the USA.

In the American Civil War during 1861-1865 the USA very nearly lost its independence. England and other nations were waiting to take advantage of the fracture of the Union.

That was back then. It was much harder to take over a nation militarily back then. You had a lack of airplanes, lack of many things that today's technology renders moot.

If there is enormous conflict? The PRC and many others will continue their agenda of commercial and technological trade and so on control.

They want to crush the ex colonial powers out of existence not only in the Americas, but in Europe and in other areas of the world. Including Africa and Asia.

They depend on the US markets for revenue. It will not favor them to have an economically depressed USA.

But? If there is the fracture due to political and military conflict? The USA will suffer.

What is going to happen as that the fragile alliances based on fear and intimidation that the US has carefully cultivated all this time? Will be disintegrated.

Once that happens? You lose territories and tax revenue. People get full of fear of losing social security checks, food stamps, public housing, and then the gig economy becomes unbearable. It is unbearable now, but it will get much worse.

Anyone who offers an alternative to that gig economy will win that war. It will be way in the future. About fifty years from now or more.

But no doubt about it. You let the beginning of the reptile fear political people in the government? They will fracture the USA. And you can't get rid of huge percentages of people in the USA without destroying it all.

@Potemkin I need my social security check to come in on time. Lol. The USA needs to keep the SS system going. If they do not? Who knows what will happen?

Lol. Well, the Mexicans over here are saying to me that I have a right to Mexican social security. I can buy credit years. Hmmm.

I think working remotely and making dollars is a good idea. Convert that into pesos.

If it all goes to pot? You work Mexican jobs. But I am up there in age. I am going to be 59 in a couple of months. Once I hit 60 I can qualify to take the pension for Mexico.

It is not much. But it is something. I have my remote work. And other income streams.

But if they go to extremes and throw people out on the street. Stop sending SS checks and draft by force young men over 18 years old for wars? And the wars never stop? Billions going into defeating Iran. Billions going to defeat this or that nation?

Neglecting schools, and necessary things in society to stay competitive?

How long is that going to last before they hit the skids and become like the UK? Where they left the EU and now they got incompetent leaders who milk the bullshit for all that is worth as their economy goes down the toilet?

I do not know.

If Biden had pulled anything like what Trump did in PA yesterday, they'd be roasting him alive.

I like how opposition to Trump comes back to logistic snafus: Trump doesn't care about you because some of the people bused to a rally had to walk back...

I don't even know what you are referencing it's such a non-issue.
