American corporations mostly don’t give a rat’s ass about anything except making money. And since this thread is about the US elections of 2024? Let us focus on that.
They swept the House, the Senate, the SCOTUS, and hundreds of federal judge positions. They are going to staff thousands of posts with loyalists who's only job is going to be make sure the ones in that core of fascists get their agenda done as well as possible.
The liberals are going to have to stop with the excuses about why they never got working class policies in a broad way done. Why the message was not clear about speaking to the pain of the working people. They had so many opportunities to rectify. They folded.
If they continue to stubbornly think that being soft on these hardcore fascist pro capitalists with a professional liar as the head of the apparatus, is going to work and they will retake the White House and the Senate, and the House, with a lack of a very hard position and with real commitment to working people...they are going to fail again, and again. They will not see any openings without giving up on trying to be self centered and thinking that the kind of capitalism they have grown in the USA does not need changes.
It needs changes.
The rest of the world is moving along.
Now, is there a solution to this mess? Yes. Is it peaceful? That is the big question. That window is really over by now. The Peaceful stuff is gone. The Democratic party is still playing by rules that the MAGA ones have burned. You can only have peaceful transitions of power when both parties play by the same rules. The MAGA group does not play by those rules. Remember the three rules Trump plays by taught to him by Roy Cohn. Attack, attack, attack, never admit defeat.

Why are we having discussions?
Trump is a post-truth populist. Logic doesn't really factor into this. It's about emotion for the population. It's much more about maintaining myth for those in power (it's all symbols and slogans). It's a new era bro, get with the program.
