But Hakeer, the ones who kiss Trump's ass big time are all pro statehood, have horrific scandals of corruption of the worst sort. But you think statehood is the solution with asskissing sellouts in charge? Who even lack the dignity of being called in their fucked up Madison Square Garden Republican meeting garbage island and roaches who reproduce too much. Jenniffer Gonzalez Colon is also a LEP. A limited English language speaker. She has trouble speaking clear and eloquent English, yet she is the one who does all the public speaking in the USA regarding Puerto Rico.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Nydia Velazquez are both congresswomen from NYC and neither of them want statehood for Puerto Rico. But Jenniffer Gonzalez does. And she can't vote. They can.

Oh shit....you love statehood for the island. IT SUCKS. That party is rotten, scandalously corrupt, and have said some horrific shit. Trump loves Jenniffer Gonzalez. She is his asskissing asshole.

But you love her. See how ignorance is not bliss?

Here is Jenniffer begging Congress to let her vote.

Here is one of the governors of Puerto Rico who got OUSTED by the people of Puerto Rico who forced his resignation from the governorship...also from Jenniffer Gonzalez corrupt PNP party.

Do you want those people in charge pushing their shitty anti Puerto Rican agenda on the islanders? I don't!!

All those statehooders are AWFUL people who have been caught over and over again in corruption scandals. They stole money from the people who needed food, water, and to get a decent contract for electrical power in Puerto Rico. They all failed.

Yet, there you are advocating for that option from hell. No thank you!!

She can't vote. She insists she is a real Yankee. Her English is HORRIBLE. But she is more Yankee than all of them. She is also not the most prepared or bright among us either. We need someone with character, and honesty and not a fool like Jenniffer Gonzalez Colon asskisser to Trumpism.

She sucks at history. Puerto Rico was invaded. It was not consulted democratically. And we have been US citizens only since 1917, not since 1898. She sucks Hakeer. But here you are advocating for her. She is not wanting independence. She will take those insults about Puerto Rico and the paper towel throwing and still say....the Conman from Queens is our guy.

As a contrast Nydia Velazquez from Manhattan Puerto Rican woman from the Left. Said this about Trump:

Then the corrupt Ricky from Jenniffer Gonzalez piece of shit PNP party has this issue:

Then you have AOC discussing the situation about Puerto Rico in congress:

I am tired of this bullshit Hakeer.

Nothing gets done.

Puerto Rico can't afford anymore limbo crap with nothing resolved. AOC is right. That status is ILLEGAL and totally weird. It should be outlawed. You can't have people with threats of one way street crap deals that US Congress is the only one who can unilaterally strip millions of people of citizenship without consulting them and dealing with them. How can you draft Puerto Ricans to die in many wars since WWI on? And then tell them we are going to tell you if we keep you or we release you. And determine how and why and where and why?

It is total tyranny.

AOC is not pro statehood. She is pro Independence but she wants a real process. Not lying shit that is the usual crap served up.

But you Hakeer and many others live in deep ignorance about how these mechanisms work within the US legal system and political system.

Ignorance. I am fucking sick of the ignorance. Get your act together. USA is an Empire as bad as any other out there.

They also bombed the island when they rebelled. Yes. Bombed us.

So stop with the bullshit about we would never do that kind of tyranny. You already DID IT!!

Bombed the town from the sky....because they did not want to be within the US sphere of influence.

Jayuya was bombed. From the National Guard. Indiscriminately.

Why don't you know about it Hakeer?

Because it is a history the US government never talks about. Like most of the shit they do that is immoral all over the world.

I am always interested in the histories of tiny nations. Small nations. You find a lot of abuse by the big powers in those places. The information is silenced and blacked out. No one talks about it.

Why? Figure it out.

You can publish this in the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, and another other media that you or your golf-club-buddies own.

I'm sensing that you would favor banning Shakespeare from school curriculae for this trope.

Here is a comment from a very interesting article that really emphasizes the link between national bankruptcy and aggressive militarism:

...Russia has finally realized that the old Colonial Banksters need a WW3 reset and none need it more than the City of London. That is why the English are going all in to get it started because the Bank of England is broke. Myself and others fear a false flag on the UK population blamed on Russia. ...

World War Two was initiated in order to "reset" Western banking, and one of Adolph Hitler's "original sins" was to nationalize banking, thus taking it away from Legacy Family Banksters.

So the current bankruptcy of the West... caused by the dictatorial hand of the banksters themselves and their corporate allies... is leading us into a global war whose only real explanation is the irrational brinkmanship of the West's bankster dicators.

“H.R. 2757 — A bill to enable the people of Puerto Rico to choose a permanent, nonterritorial, fully self-governing political status for Puerto Rico and to provide for a transition to and the implementation of that permanent, nonterritorial, fully self-governing political status, and for other purposes; to the Committee on Natural Resources.

By Mr. GRIJALVA (for himself, Ms. Velázquez, Mrs. González-Colón, Mr. Soto, Mr. Hoyer, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, and Mr. Torres of New York), H1907 [20AP]”

=======
I would like to note that my main man — Raul Griljalva — introduced that bill and other CPC members were co-sponsors.

Of course, so long as Republicans control the House, this bill will be stuck in a committee somewhere and probably never even get to a vote. If, by some miracle, it ever gets a vote, every Republican will vote against. The reason is not so much that they consider Puerto Rico a floating pile of garbage, but that it would give the Democrats two more seats in the Senate. They can’t allow that to happen, if they can stop it.

I want independence. End of the story for me. I do not want what happened to the Hawaiians and the Alaskan Eskimos and the Lakota and the many Indian tribes that are part of the US Department of the Interior and are fucked for life with some bad deals. No, I give that a hard pass.

Living in limbo status is also not good. If you look at patterns of colonial empires and colonies? They wind up always in independence. Why?

If it interests you? You should study why that is. Palau got independence from the USA. In 1994. How many of the former lands taken away from Spain have gained statehood from the USA? Guam. No. The Phillipines? No. How about in the pacific? Palau. No. American Samoa has the worst deal of all. Study them. None wind up as states of the union. Hawaii's government was overthrown. Clinton has to do a formal apology. The native Hawaiians are living in poverty and have higher incarceration rates than the non Hawaiians have. Many wind up in Washington and California in the Pacific Northwest and in the West. Because Hawaii is too expensive.

The US had Lucky Luciano in Cuba and it had Fulgencio Batista. Who was the US government's man. He failed.

Che Guevara was radicalized in Guatemala. When he saw US planes throwing bombs in Guatemala because the US in the 1950s did not approve of the Arbenz government at the time. United Fruit owned large tracts of land in Guatemala. They were paying abysmally low wages to the peasants who were Mayan people in Guatemala.

It is not hard to figure out where the US government policy went wrong.

Meanwhile, you fight it out with the Republicans. And you fight it out...and when you are in power....nothing gets accomplished. At all. The politicians that suck like Jenniffer are not invisible to us the Puerto Ricans. They are corrupt people because they cater to the ones who have power. They are classic sellout people. Without integrity or principles. Whoever is the one with money and power they hope to integrate to the club.

I hate puppet politicians. Would you like a Russian puppet dictator in the USA for the USA? Yes or no? I would not. Fuck those people.

Jenniffer Gonzalez Colon, Luis Fortuño, Pedro Rossello, Ricky Rossello, and many others are all sellout people without principles.

Let us say Trump or another Republican freak gets into the White House. But with bad circumstances, China or the PRC is pissed over something happening economically with their disputes with access to the US Markets. The Republican wants to prevent them from calling out a deal on cashing in on the debt bonds that the PRC holds in excess of a couple of trillion bucks.

They cut a deal with the USA of keeping it under wraps...in exchange for Puerto Rico. They sign a treaty with the PRC and hand over Puerto Rico as war booty again to China. And what will happen then?

China, says, to the USA, we will have a deal with the USA. We get exclusive rights over Puerto Rico. Without consulting us again like they did with Spain and the US in the Spanish American war.

The Jenniffer Gonzalez Colon people will start saying, 'Beijing and the PRC is a powerful nation. It will benefit us to do business with them and protect us from other aggressors. We can be Chinese citizens. Puerto Ricans have always had strong love of Chinese food and Chinese culture. There were Chinese workers in the Caribbean working on railroads since the late 19th century. China is a great nation. We love China. Puerto Ricans deep in their hearts like speaking Chinese or we can learn. Let us fly the Red flag with five Yellow Stars forever...Nie hao ma China.'

That is who those fucking pieces of shit think. Do I like them? No.

We can't wait for you guys to finally tame the conservative dumbass Republicans. Because the Dems were in charge in the past. They never solved any problems at all in Puerto Rico. Bill Clinton disagreed with Hillary who was far more hawkish and did not want to release Puerto Rican political prisoners.

No. I am sick to death of that shit filled idea that we have to wait another one hundred years dragging that stinky cadaver around of colonial relationships that died out worldwide in the 20th century. It is time to move on.

We can have friendly relationship with the USA. Have dual or habitual residency like the UN decolonization committee recommends and end it all on friendly terms. And may the US give up on world cop shit. It is expensive for the US and it is hurting funds domestically to dedicate to real infrastructure projects, beefing up education for all, and many other needed changes. The spending on trying to control the entire globe by the US has to stop. No matter who is in the White House.

Having sellouts in the US Congress and the US Senate is for fools Hakeer.

It is not good. Not for PR and not for the US or Mexico or anywhere. You have to have politicians who represent with honor, integrity and dignity the interests of their own nations. Looking for win/wins for all. Not one way street bad deals.

The only way the people on the island can have a democratic vote on what they want — whether statehood, independence, or something else— and have the vote binding on the U.S. government is for this bill to pass in Congress and signed by the president. The Democrats would have to take over the federal government for that to happen.

There was a time where the US Senate and US Congress and the White House was all Democrat Party controlled. Did they resolve the problem with Puerto Rico's status? No, they did not. Why?

Basically what this man on Democracy Now discussed with Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez.

They do not want to have a vote where PR gains a legal precedent. Study the Department of the Interior problems with Native Tribal lands, and unincorported territories. What do they have in common? People on land that US government coveted that had people who were on that land for centuries before the US forces arrived. They had legal rights to the land underneath their feet.

The way that was solved during the Manifest Destiny stage? Was giving out diseased blankets to Native Americans, and marches of death and trails of tears, and Sand Creek massacres of the Arapahoe in Colorado, and etc and so forth and so on. Do you know how many treaties were broken by the US government with Native American leadership? Chief Sitting Bull. Chief Seattle. Chief Crazy Horse, Red Cloud, etc etc. It is endless. Lying about honoring contracts they never had the intention of honoring. The same as telling the Puerto Rican that they would liberate us and give us independence from Spanish tyranny. A lie.

If they do that and give PR statehood? Legally all those other nations are going to come calling to get either statehood rights or vastly expanded rights as well. It is only fitting. Including the US Virgin Islands who do not have the Jones Act to contend with.

No, Hakeer. They are going to drag this out forever as long as they can continue to go the Imperialism and world cop, constant war spending path. And it not a good path.

And Puerto Rico has lost billions upon billions upon billions of dollars sucked out of island and economy and sequestered in the economy of the mainland. We get crumbs back in federal fund transfers. They do not even pay the same to our Puerto Rican veterans. They pay more VA benefits to the ones who leave and live in one of the fifty states. It is all well thought out. It is a game. To control land that legally was not supposed to be controlled by the USA. They find it a strategic place to watch the Caribbean and control Central America.

It is immoral.

It is unjust.

And it is against international human rights to continue that way. There was a change in 1952 to the US deal with PR simply because after WWII the UN said keeping us in that limbo status was harmful and illegal. The US had to do a window dressing to deal with it. Read those documents. The guy who helped draft the Puerto Rican constitution that is still in effect today said the US constantly argued with Puerto Ricans and with him, wanting to control it all and rarely respected anything that the Puerto Ricans wanted for their own constitution. He was a brilliant historian. I was friends with him and his wife and kids. His name was Gordon K. Lewis. He died in 1991 I think.

He was from Wales and his wife was an Afro Trinidanean from Trinidad and Tobago.

He was a professor for years at the University of Puerto Rico.

Stop thinking in ways that defend the indefensible. If you truly want justice in this world? You got to realize that you have to respect others' rights to live in freedom in land, and with dignity and respect.

You can't turn back the clock in time and stop what happened in the past that is damaging to many groups. But you can act with justice in the present. Acknowledge damage done. And that is it.

Look? If a Puerto Rican wants to become a state person? Just pack your bags. And pick a state to live in and voila. Statehood. Pass legislation making the Puerto Rican residing in the US and wanting to always be US citizens? Constitutionally guaranteed US congress approved citizens. Let island born Puerto Ricans like I am then make a decision for themselves? And voila.

I think becoming independent fixes a lot of problems. All control is local, Got to take 100% of all responsibility for laws, and governance and commercial relationships with our own elected people. That waiting on US politicians to respond to an island with no voting power is a recipe for disaster. It is.

I have met so many Latin Americans who really want to visit and spend money in Puerto Rico from Mexico, Colombia, etc. and many other places but state that it is very hard to get a visa for tourism there. It is dollarized and expensive. And they want trade and relationships with PR.

All change is difficult. For everyone. But it has to happen. The alternatives is to languish in limbo for years and years waiting for what?

The capitalist industries in PR are making money. The tax dodgers are happy with the status quo and so on. They do not care about the people of Puerto Rico. They never have. And that is the definiton of dysfunctional government.

That has to end.

Rafael Hernandez is a famous Puerto Rican composer. He married a Mexican woman while traveling Mexico promoting his songs in the 1940s. One of his famous songs is called Preciosa. In those lyrics there is this part:

https://www.letras.com/rafael-hernandez ... e_vignette

There is a line there from the translated part to English of Preciosa:

The bards call you precious
who sing your history
it doesn't matter the tyrant treats you with black evil
you will be precious without flags
without laurels or glories
precious, precious the children call you
of freedom

Who do you think the tyrant is that treats Preciosa (Puerto Rico) with black evil? The United States Hakeer. That is who he is calling black evil. You will be precious without flags is about it being outlawed at the time of Hernandez' writing of this song? It was outlawed to fly the Puerto Rican flag in Puerto Rico. Only the US flag was allowed. You got ten years prison sentence for doing that. It also had a gag law getting jail time for a decade if you were caught talking about independence. That is not freedom. It is tyranny.

You are preciosa that means beautiful and precious...both are what it means in Spanish. And the children call you of freedom is a bad translation. It is actually Beautiful is what the children of freedom call you Puerto Rico....

It is sad that a nation who took such pride in its own independence from England and King George became the tyrant of such a small and gentle place. That caused absolutely no harm or threat to anyone in the world. We are not interested in being an empire. We just want to be who we are living in peace with the rest of the nations in the world.

And not be pawns in some game with the Russians or the PRC or whoever is the new challenge to those who love controlling the world and all of the peoples in it.

The Greek call those kinds of problems when they lose power or fall from grace? HUBRIS. The USA better stop with the HUBRIS eh? Be human. Be fair. Be just.

Do not seek to destroy what you should have never tried to dominate and control at all because the people were there BEFORE you. That is the most selfish thing in the world.

Preciosa sung by Marc Anthony.

286,000,000,000 Billion bucks lying around. Then the salaries of the deportation personnel, and the translators, lawsuits for family members who are US citizens. Being caught up in impunity from ICE and Homan wanting to get rid of the entire family. Etc.

Regular people caring about the national budget is equivalent to people responding to porn stars online with pictures of their tiny dicks that also show their toilet, which has shit in it.

The one over all thing that I am concerned about is that that which had at one time happened to Mexico , in relation to their French creditors , might in time happen to the U.S.A. , as it pertains to the People's Republic of China . Trump talks shit all day. Sheinbaum sent him a letter letting him know the reality versus the shit he talks. Mexico got the migrants running across the border from 10k to 1.5k...and Trump acts like Mexico has no power in that border problem.

He is a foolish man in general. But he can create a dystopia. That is what he specializes in anyway.

The most probably scenario is that he boosts the enormous defense budget more than he already did the last time but wants it used for domestic suppression only.

Sheinbaum is extremely adept and intelligent in politics and in many other avenues.

She has a morning show. She will explain the whole deal to the entire Mexican public. Trump will lie pathologically.

She talks about drugs and arms, death, and crime, and so on. She kicked ass against what Trump proposed. It is going to be a hard road for all that lying shit that happens with Trump people.

Tainari88 wrote:There was a time where the US Senate and US Congress and the White House was all Democrat Party controlled.

The Democrats would do it right now, if we had the votes. The two Senate seats would be golden.

Puerto Rico didn’t even have any referendum from 2008-10. That would have been the time. By the 2012 referendum, it was already too late, but Obama did put $2.5 million in his budget to fund another referendum, and he pledged he would urge Congress to act on whatever was the vote. But the next referendum wasn’t til 2017, which was also impossible to produce anything.

Now it is a Trump administration.

No, Hakeer. I hope you realize that waiting around for bullshit and lies is not a solution.

If you keep waiting and allowing the islanders to lose their homes, have rolling black outs and lack of clean drinking water, and hurricanes blowing through and the US gov't dragging its feet, and Trump and the Republicans with racist shit and sitting on emergency FEMA funds. And on and on.

Look the old Muñoz administration compromised. But that party is dying very fast. It is going to be two camps. The Statehood option with that corrupt shitty party that I already described--and the pro Independence people full of millenials and Generation Z people who never have lived the good times from the 1960s on. It has been in a terrible situation for years now. The agreement with Muñoz was we gave up our pursuit of our independence and the US gov't committed to giving us a high standard of living with modern conveniences and great infrastructure. From the fifties on to the seventies that happened. Then in the eighties it went downhill. Precisely when the statehood party started getting more votes.

Now the promise of high standards of living and good paying jobs and more infrastructure and free university educations and great public schools? Are all dead.

Puerto Rico had almost an entire year in some of those mountain towns without electricity. Water pumps were not working either and people were gathering contaminated water from the hillsides and mountainsides. No roofs repaired. Debris everywhere. No funds for real repairs. The electricity company is used by private enterprise companies who go for corrupt gov't contracts that do not serve Puerto Ricans. The Puerto Ricans pay a lot more per kilowatt hour for power than residents of NYC do. On much lower average salaries. The Mexicans in Merida Yucatan where I live are far more sturdy with the power grid than Puerto Rico is. Mexico. The third world thing...that the US promised would not be our fate by sticking with the USA. They lied.

Puerto Rico has constant rolling blackouts, unsafe water, imported food that is overpriced. PR imports 85% of all the food consumed. The island in its past consumed a lot of its own products. It has been deliberately discouraged by the US because it affects profit margins with crazy Jones Act cabotage laws. You study it all? It is about not creating prosperity but siphoning off profits. And investments.

It is a bad deal for PR. All around.

It will come to a head sometime in the future if it is continually ignored.

You are not going to make it a Spanish speaking state with a lot of black people on it with that racist Republican Nationalist Christian creepy political group in charge. What it is going to happen? Is that they will abuse and accelerate the abusive behavior and it will get a reaction. The Boricuas are going to be angry and will eventually turn to violence, acts of violence against the US government. And make the US government a recipient of its wrath. Either on the island or on the mainland.

The arrogant racist types will then think force and mass killings might be the answer. War on all Puerto Ricans. You then get a Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland situation.

I want to avoid that. But? That is what happens when you ignore, sit on your ass, do not pay attention, keep sweeping issues under the rug, ignore, put some racist pro Empire people with zero historical knowledge in charge.

People ask me all the time, that the Puerto Ricans need to wait. Wait and wait. Another hundred years of this? No.

People are tired. They need some answers.

Political problems do not come from nothing Hakeer.

The problem is the hiding and the lying and the lack of history of the places that the US has really done terrible things in. All that needs to be discussed openly and have a plan. For some movement and justice.

It starts with not lying about what happens all over the world. And what happens when you abuse power over time.

The Spanish came to Tenotchitlan in Mexico. The truth is that they were able to win? Because the Aztecs made a lot of enemies for a long time around the Valley of Mexico. And the Spanish were able to grow alliances. And use their advantages to push on the Aztec elite.

Plus, a raging pandemic of small pox also that decimated 90% of the population.

Everything came together to make the Empire fall. Mainly from their own mistakes. And their lack of ability to let go of their myths and the use of force when force was not a good thing.

History is really fascinating.

Some people here might be surprised that Puerto Rico ranks #53 in gdp per capita— better than some much bigger countries like Mexico, Russia, Turkey.

On the other hand, their inequality is even worse than the U.S. with a gini coefficient of .54. You need some socialism there, too.

Well, Q, all beginnings have to start somewhere darling. All of them. All nations have to grapple with difficult things.

I think the best thing is to begin with independence and work from there. I do not have such a dismal view of the island as you do Q. I do think I see a lot of solidarity among many people in many Latin American countries. There is a lack of alienation in many places in Latin America. People still spend time talking face to face and they put down their cell phones. And talk.

I feel connected to other people here Q. While there is a sense of community there is hope and community.

I am counting on that for a better future. Loneliness and lack of love and warmth is not something I want for my son's future.

No one does.

Got to work on that future one day at a time.

I think there comes a time where people who still have emotional intelligence and so on? Find solutions.

I think we still have the ability to imagine something better for ourselves. Always.

Yes, I am a socialist and Puerto Rico needs more socialism and not less of it.

But it will not get any money for it for sure with the way the current economy is set up.

The GDP comes from an elite that use the Law 20 and 22, to fatten its bottom line.

Corruption, dirt, and not being able to get the US Congress and Senate to get statehood to happen. Especially with the Trump administration in charge. The Republicans ignore and denigrate the statehood people. They are radical haters of Spanish speaking welfare states. A hard NO to statehood. So? The statehooders are seen as not only sellouts, but ineffective, unpatriotic and liars. Which is all true in a very real sense. Also just corruption. First of all, all those questions you have posed have already been answered by Juan Dalmau in the second video.

He discussed very clear cases of why certain policies are detrimental to Puerto Rico's economy. And what the changes need to be.

He also states clearly that there will be absolutely no ability to change anything due to our limbo status. You are assuming Puerto Ricans have a right to change things to favor their own national interests. We do not have that right.

It is like a maze Hakeer. You want to implement a change that is needed. Let us assume all parties on the island agree the change is needed. You go and try to do it. Blocked by limbo status. Try to do another program to help relieve lack of housing. Blocked. Billions of dollars that the US Congress gives you to fix things. The way those things work in Washington DC you have to spend the money from your state and federal funds first in your state budget and then ask for reimbursement from FEMA. Blocked. You are not a state or allowed to declare bankruptcy. You do not have the initial budget to spend from. To get reimbursed and the funds are managed by PROMESA. Blocked. Statehooders are careful to not mention that PR is not like any other state of the union. It brings attention to the fact that we are not the same. Not politically. Culturally. Linguistically. Historically. And that we depend completely on the largesse of people who do not understand us without subtitles involved, that do not have a clue about our history. Who view us as foreman on a farm they run, and who refuse to think they are responsible for our lack of power. The statehooders fear being too confrontational with the owners. So they are ineffective.

You try to get corruption out of the electricity company problem. Blocked. You try to do this or that. Blocked.

Everything is blocked. Crime? There used to be 27,000 cops on the island. Most left due to burn out, low wages and a denied pension plan from the government who is bankrupt. Blocked. Most left to the states. Teaches for schools. Laid off or sent to unemployment line. Pensions are not solvent because PROMESA says you must pay hedge fund managers FIRST before your retired or retiring teachers in the school system in Puerto Rico. Blocked.

Blocked. Blocked. Dead end blocked.

That is limbo status. How long would you tolerate it before thinking about revolution? You tell me? What keeps things in an even keel are the Puerto Ricans stateside pressuring the little that they can pressure on the US Congress.

Dalmau discusses the issues with the statehood advocates. The PPD also. In detail in that interview.

The picture is grim. Blocked. Blocked. Blocked.

It only strictly favors outside business interests from the mainland who control absolutely all aspects of political and financial solvency in PR. If it does not agree with their agenda? Blocked.

Dalmau talked about a place his family used to go to visit in Luquillo. He went to a business that sells ice that his family has known their entire lives. The business is called Flamboyanes. He goes to open in the back to get a bag of ice. Some American mainlanders who buy very expensive property on the island in that area, screamed at him in English....lock the gate! They do not bother to learn any Spanish, they believe they are the owners of Puerto Rico and they have entitled attitudes.

Why do you think they think that Hakeer?

He talks about lobbying Congress. The problem is that Puerto Rico has very little leverage. At least, as he mentions, you have the CPC members of Congress who proposed that bill I mentioned, which will be stuck in committee forever.

The one thing he does mention that the government of Puerto Rico can potentially improve is corruption. Congress authorizes funds to PR, and the money is mismanaged.

I was just watching a discussion about corruption in the forthcoming Trump admin. He has appointed the wealthiest cabinet members in U.S. history. These guys have all kinds of conflict of interest, and since Trump has no ethics himself, we can be assured they won’t, either. The DOJ will be too busy with Trump’s own agenda to deal with much of the corruption, unless one of them explodes completely. The "swamp" is now mammouth..

Hakeer there have been a lot of very detailed analysis of Puerto Rican government corruption. The vast majority of it comes from the PNP (statehooder conservative party who has the sellout Gonzalez Colon as the rep in the US Congress--you know the woman you were so admiring about at the beginning. You do not even mention her anymore even though her name is on the proposal there your CPC is considering--she is the opposite in political thought to the other signers on the proposal of that piece. Velazquez and Ocasio Cortez are both pro Independence for Puerto Rico). You should ask yourself why both sides are on the same bill there? Hmm. And also to a lesser degree the PPD. Never the PIP and never the MVC or the other smaller parties on the island are accused of corruption. They are not there because they were going to win the votes. They were there to advocate for what they thought is the best way out for Puerto Rico. And to solve problems.

So? I happen to think that it is not an accident that the PNP has such really corrupt and incompetent leadership. For one, I think in order for you to be begging from a country that fails to give you parity and equal rights, and to suck up to them and tell them they are in the right when you know they are not really is a study in being without principles. There are statehooders who really believe that the USA is a nation of justice and freedom and so on. But they are confronted as Puerto Ricans everyday with the reality that they can't vote for president, or have voting members of congress or the senate. They know they get less benefits in almost all federal programs on the island. That Spanish is not the majority and dominant language of the USA and that as Puerto Ricans they have almost zero leverage in the Washington DC scene.

So what do they gain by being statehood thinkers? A solution to status. Carlos Romero Barceló stated in his pamphlet promoting statehood in PR in the 1980s entitled, Estadidad es para los Pobres, statehood is for the poor. You get more welfare, more government programs, more food stamps, more public housing, free health care. Security. Is that a conservative Republican type of message there? Yes or no? It is not a Republican message. Yet, the PNP is a conservative pro Reagan type of party.

Why would they lie about the Republican Right Wing message? Of pull yourself up by your bootstraps, and be accountable, work for a living, pay taxes, be responsible, fiscal responsibility, do not rely on government handouts, etc. Can you figure out why the PNP party would be against that Right Wing message? Less government not more in Puerto Rico?

Statehooders had scandal after scandal of corruption. Mismanaged funds. It was a very convenient way of the US politicians to clean their hands about taking action.

Also they can claim it is an internal dispute problem among Puerto Ricans who can't agree on the status question in a supermajority of voters and therefore they do not have to act to change the status according to their criteria. Oh, the Puerto Ricans can't agree among themselves so that is the reason we do not have binding referenda about it.

They project that the Puerto Ricans want to be part of the USA system as full members with power to vote, but they have a lot of confused Puerto Ricans who want to stay the way they are. And a small percentage of die hard pro independence people who are just idealistic fools.

In reality it is an orchestrated thing with serious intervention by US power groups with a vested interest in geopolitical positions, and making huge profits. PR is a captive market not allowed to freely trade with any other nation without tacit approval first from the USA. They can unload all kinds of goods and products into Puerto Rico and never be held responsible for much of it. Fix inflated prices and force the Puerto Rican government to pay the highest prices for delivery of goods in the world.

The statehooders rarely talk about or know their own history. Like Jenniffer who says totally wrong historical accounts. She is not a student of her own history and much less that of the US's history. It is all about we are Americans and we want to be a part of it all. But she is the one sent to represent Puerto Rico.

Claudia Sheinbaum is the president of Mexico. She is a PhD. And can speak English much better than Jenniffer does. Why would Jenniffer Gonzalez-Colon be the candidate there with her atrocious English and her bad history? She is the shining star of the desires of the statehood movement? There are much better candidates.

The statehooders get frustrated. But, they are there, always talking. They are presented with evidence of what the US really believes and backs about their policies towards Puerto Rico. The insular cases tell you exactly what the plan is. It is not statehood. Why continue with the lie of statehood? Because they are looking for money from the people who do have power in Washington DC. And they hope to gain as the local rulers if things change in their favor someday.

It is political theater.

Again the statehood party from its Luis A. Ferré days to now? Has evolved. For the worse. It was founded around 1968. Almost twenty years from the original governorship party of the Muñoz legacy. PPD was about pan tierra y libertad. Bread, land and freedom.

The PNP is about Progress. As in $$$. Lol.

Statehooders are not going to chain themselves to congress, and get violent with American Republicans in order to force some action. No. They are people of total cowardice and lack of real commitment to their cause. It is obvious it is about their own pockets. So do I think they have the gumption to get a statehood agenda done? No.

The ones who are clean, and decent, and have excellent plans for growing the economy and ordering the Puerto Rican economy and its people are the PIP and MVC.

Will they get the chance though? No.

The US does not want to lose control of its trinket in the Caribbean islands. I would not put it past the US government to paint us as terrorists, communists, anti American, puppets of Russia or China or another version of Latin American corruption and or total lies and distortions, followed by FBI raids and people getting shot in the head and sent to prison for 100 years. Denying food, water and fuel and making sure Puerto Rico is starved out and lives in deep fear and despair while they wait for our capitulation.

Evil Empire for sure is the USA. Towards us.

Stateside? As manipulated that the US public voters are? To vote for Trumpism? They will believe all the lies. Would approve of mass killings of the most brilliant of all the Puerto Ricans. For sure.

Kill the ones with great educations, and great leadership skills with solutions.

But, if there is unity among all that pain and bloodshed among all the Puerto Ricans who want to rule their own land for once in 500 years or more? They will do it. They will get to the goal.

I am surprised how many of the Latin American nations are watching us carefully. Waiting for us to ask for assistance in building a new life. So many are waiting....for the right moment to come to our aid.

I found it out during my quest to see what the Puerto Rican certificate got me in terms of rights around the world. It surprised the hell out of me. It really did. They are waiting. For our run for freedom. To give us a hand.

In that I have faith. Not in the racist Christian Nationalist cult people in DC. They are not going to help us. They want to destroy if they can't control.

Those are the ones you need to deal with Hakeer.
