I just watched a video of the 'rebels' beheading a 14 year old boy because he wasn't Sunni.

Assad needs to move his capital and consolidate all his assets in Latakia. The 1.5 million Syrians that just got displaced by this jihadist offensive (and growing) should be heading toward Latakia. It's the most pleasant part of Syria, and it's entirely coastal and easily defensible.

Let the rest go the way of the eternal hellscape that is Libya/Yemen. The *cough* 'rebels' *cough* will turn on the Kurds in full force if they take Damascus and shiite run Iraq won't sit idly by as numerous sunni jihadist groups mass on the border.

I feel so sorry for the Syrians, it really looked they had dodged the jihadist bullet and now they are going to get thrown into hell, women will be treated as subhuman, Chirstians, atheists and more moderate Muslims will get stoned to death and Syria's time as a normal proserous place under Assad and his dad will just be a memory. It will be Afghanistan all over again, a normal government toppled by western backed jihadists and a nation taken right back to the sone age.
