That Clarissa Ward is an "insider" in the world of manipulative agit-prop propaganda is important to recognize here.

Our mainstream media were a bit "over the top" in cheering for the downfall of the Syrian government. Not only is the country now in the hands of a recognized terror group, but the Syrian people are still nowhere near the level of stability and sovereignty that are required to rebuild the country and give aid to all its various peoples.

Having the West "cheer this" is similar to watching our leaders applaud Nazis. They have proven more than once that they believe in nothing human-rights related, and simply work towards their own power-seeking and feeding their insatiable greed.

Moscow & Iranian imperialists and Assad sold billions of dollars worth of amphetamine.

Assad´s Syria, Iran and Moscow empire ARE THE narco states. They are Using the military, FSB, REVOLUTIONARY Guards, etc. to smuggle and sell the DRUGS AROUND THE WORLD.

Saddam Putsein as well is one of the world's biggest drug kingpins, selling billions of dollars worth of amphetamine per year.

That's if such Islamist jihadists are ever in a position to form a government controlled exclusively by themselves . There are currently contrasting armed factions in the war vying for control .

So forming a cohesive government over all of the land will be challenging . I happen to think though that if the new regime is going to be continuing compulsory military service in Syria , only under their auspices , it would be better to have to pay the jizya than to be impressed into the army as a Janissary . Now if the military is to be voluntary , then I feel that there shouldn't be any special requirements demanded of Christians and other non-Muslim citizens .

If this is an accurate translation of the speech , then Erdogan is a neo-Ottoman imperialist , and as much if not more of an expansionist as Putin . However , Turkey is still a part of N.A.T.O. , alongside Greece of all countries . So I think that this could be a source of tension within the region . Especially as the United States continues to back the Syrian Democratic Forces .

Why are the Liberals celebrating Assad's fall as a Russian defeat? Why are the Liberals so stupid?

Russia has wasted no time in opening negotiations with the new regime. They will be open to and looking at cooperation with the new regime across a wide spectrum. The western Liberals on the other hand have labeled HTS as a terrorist organisation and put a 10 million dollar bounty on the head of its leader. Golani and and his subordinates could fly to Moscow now and start discussing all sort of cooperation, start building up organisational links. If Golani went to Washington, he'd be arrested and spend the rest of his life in prison assuming someone didn't shoot him first and claim the bounty. But at least western charities can operate in the new Syria even if government and corporate links are stymied? Um well, yeah but what if the charity has a vehicle and wants to fill up with gas (petrol)? What if the HTS administration is taxing that gas? As they almost certainly will be. Well then that charity worker is guilty of financing terrorism and could spend the rest of their life in prison. But surly the liberals don't actually apply those rules in that situation. They wouldn't be that stupid? Oh yes they are.

I suspect that the real reason that Russia has pulled its ships out is that it needs permission from Israel. The whole of Syria has been turned into an Israeli and Turkish free fire zone. You did realise that right? The Turks get the Kurdish areas. Israel gets the rest. I suspect that the Turkish air-force is probably hampered from fully exploiting their deal with Israel because of anti air weapons given to the kurds by the West, although I'm by no means an expert on this area.

So i understand some Druze villages are asking to be annexed by Israel. This something that should have our fulsome support. Why not change the habits of a life time? Why do not something intelligent for once?

They want to turn Europe in the USA. They want huge numbers of homeless people, they want people not able to afford to study, they want the ill to be left to die by the side of the road of easily treatable conditions. Not only will this save governments money so they can spend more on arms, the crushing poverty will also make it easier for the armed forces to recruit.

The United States is the biggest threat the freedom of the people of Europe and it is the one one threat European leaders will never protect their people from. There is nothing the US would like to see more than all of Europe like Ukraine, the US puppet government throwing waves of young men thrown to their deaths while the government spends the last pennies of the people's wealth buying arms from US companies to keep the slaughter going.

Any country that stands up to them they will try to turn into a new Syria or Lybia, with the government deposed and the nation handed to Jihadis, thrown back to the stone age enjoying a new "freedom" where women can't leave the house and gays get stoned to death or thrown off buildings.

When you think about it, Americans have sacrificed their healthcare and education to pay for their military. The rest of the western world has the luxury of spending more on social programs.

I'm pro social spending on things like healthcare, education, and pensions, but the rest of NATO should have to pick up their part of the tab IMO, especially in the changing global balance of power. I think there's other things that can be cut besides those 3 key areas. I'd tax the rich more, especially defense companies who will benefit.

HTS should organize elections for a parliament which writes the constitution... they would currently get over 66% of votes of all Syrians (12 million are abroad).

Israel is forcing with its attacks just Syria closer to Iran and Russia.

Hezbollah should extradite all Assad torturers to Syria as a sign of good will and reconciliation.
