tv today is mostly unwatchable: it has the tempo and style of a soap opera.why do i need to know how each and every character on the set feels about everything all the time? How is that even relevant to the plot? The plot doesn't seem to matter as much as the feelings of the characters, and these feelings are pretty trite because there is no plot to have anything to feel about. The other thing is that the actors don't seem very lively on the shows. They are not really likeable. It's like someone gave them all thorazine before they shot the episode.
exceptions: the show two broke girls, a comedy, is unlike this. that show moves along and relies on wit and plot situations for effect. There are a couple of others.
