Wow many replies here. I'm sorry for not getting back to respond to people here. It's laziness on my part.
I'm glad to see people are interested in discussing and debating the topic though.
Let me just make the point that many Americans are economically oppressed in the USA and that it is a fact that the northern European countries provide a much better quality of life for their citizens. Basic costs of living in the USA are absurdly higher than they ought to be. People on the right scream loudly and emotionally "SOCIALISM NEVER WORKS!1111" even when we have clear evidence that it does. We also used to have socialism in this country under FDR, widely regarded as one of our greatest presidents. He implemented socialism out of kindness and compassion and lifted millions out of poverty.
Why is it so hard for people on the right just to have a little bit of compassion? Seriously just a little. No one is asking for much. I'm just asking that they're willing to give up a small fraction of their overall wealth so that it will alleviate pain and suffering for MILLIONS of Americans. How much of a scumbag do you have to be to refuse to give your wealth away?
Honestly we need to implement forced charity. If these overly rich cocksuckers refuse to give away their wealth due to greed and selfishness, let's take it away from them with the use of military force.
