The problem for Democrats is that, by his own statements, Biden won’t get out unless he’s outside the statistical margin of error in the swing states before the Democratic convention. That seems unlikely, unless he has a seizure in the next 30 days.

JohnRawls wrote:Is this for real? So apparently Kennedy is a spoiler candidate colluding with Trump? News say it was leaked by Kennedies son or something? @Rancid

Okay its real. Kennedies son posted it by accident by the looks of it and then deleted :excited:

I thought analysis was showing that Kennedy was set to take more votes from Trump than Biden? :?:

The gist of it is, there are more dumb people that vote for Trump than Biden, so they are more likely to fall for Kennedy's dumb shit?

Recall, Trump loves the uneducated (Because they are easy to manipulate).

Hakeer wrote:I blame Merrick Garland for some of this. It was 100% predictable that we could have Cannon and the Supreme Court using every delaying tactic in the book. There is no excuse for Garland not getting the indictment out much sooner. The House impeachment assembled the evidence for him on a silver platter. The bottom line is that — even with Supreme Court obstruction of the case — it shouldn’t take FOUR YEARS to get these cases to trial.

You seem to forget that after 2020 and the succeeding Georgia elections, so much of the Democratic elite and opinion formers fell in love with Trump again as a sure fire Democratic vote winner. The 2022 mid terms reinforced the view that Trump's influence and leadership were bad for Republicans.

We had a repeat of the 2016 electoral cycle, with the Liberal media loving the rise of Trump thinking it guaranteed massive Democratic victories at the polls and then the moment of horror when they thought hang on Trump might actually win the Presidency. The Liberal media spent a large part of this electoral cycle straining to undermine De Santis. The Liberal media actually have quite a lot of influence over the Republican pre primary setting the narratives about the various potential candidates. They lose that influence once the primary starts and Republican supporters start actually voting.

What does any of this have to do with Merrick Garland?

To your point, though, even the Las Vegas odds makers — who had never before missed predicting presidential elections — predicted Trump would lose in 2016. The Dems thought he’d be a loser, but so did many in the Republican media and leading Republican politicians.

in 2016, Trump had the benefit of the "Ah, what the fuck, let's give him a try" vote. That sort of vote, is still there, but not as large as it was before.

Now he needs to get out as many closeted fascists as possible.

Ronald Reagan 2.0?

Wait, Reagan was pro-Palestine? :eh:

Come to that, was Reagan even socially liberal? Or fiscally conservative? :eh:

He also had the benefit of running against Hillary Clinton.

He has another weak opponent in 2024. I am very familiar with dementia in my own family. Biden has declined significantly since 2020. Ronald Reagan had Alzheimer’s in his second term. If Biden somehow wins, I can imagine the 25th Amendment coming into play at some point. But if he stays in the race, I am confident Trump wins and Republicans control Congress and Supreme Court.

I mean Reagan in his 2nd term was pretty much Biden now so the country was run by his inner circle. Reagan himself obviously was not pro-Palestinian because he was a devote American Christian of sorts, well at least as a President.

I didn’t watch the Vance speech, but saw the highlights on CNBC this morning. I was impressed that he was able to keep a straight face during his attack against Wall Street. Trump will do what Republicans always do — cut taxes for billionaires and deregulate their corporations. Trump just said he wants to cut the corporate rate to 15%.

He wasn't pro-Palestine but he wasn't fanatical supporter of Israel too.

Reagan, a libertarian, was socially liberal and fiscally conservative.

Rugoz wrote:
I think he meant socially conservative, economically liberal and fiscally irresponsible.

American presidents are not in charge of many things. It is US Congress that matter.

Republicans did not have majority in House under Reagan presidency. Reagan was not able to push his libertarian agenda because of not controlling Congress completely.

Fasces wrote:Trump is literally none of those things. What world do you live in?

I didn't mention anything about Trump in my previous post.

Both Biden and Trump is socially liberal. Neither Trump nor Biden is fiscally conservative and pro-Palestine.

Biden and Trump is much alike. Both are authoritarian assholes.

The Republican Convention is getting sillier. Half the delegates have turned up with an incontinence pad taped to an ear.

Thing is, MAGA is stupid enough to believe Trump is for the working class. Remember that air conditioning units factory he "saved", which, shutdown anyway?
#15320381
Thanks to Biden and others asking for Trump to get knocked off, Trump will win the 2024 election.

@Rancid Trump may not be for the working class, but he looks like it because Biden's worse.

Latinos need to wake up before the mass deportations begin January, 2025.

They will be 15% of the electorate, and about 40% voted for Trump in 2020. If they would stop voting for Republicans, and considering demographics, they could flip Florida and Texas to Democrats before 2050.

The Latino's that think MAGA won't turn on them once MAGA is in power are something.

Trump will win in every possible scenario because civil war inside Biden's party. Dems failed to stand behind Biden. This will cost them heavily in all swing states.

Even now there is a wild and increasingly becoming realistic prediction that Republican may get a supermajority in either House or Senate.
