'One child dead' and seven people injured after knifeman rampages through a 'Taylor Swift-themed kids' dance and yoga workshop' at a Southport summer holiday club
One child has been killed and at least seven people were injured when a knifeman reportedly rampaged through a Taylor Swift-themed children's workshop in Southport this morning. Armed police officers swooped on Hart Street in Merseyside at 11.50am after the stabbing spree at the sold out children's dance, yoga and bracelet making workshop, which was just about to finish.
Mothers arriving to pick up their children at the end of the workshop were greeted with a scene that was likened to something from a 'horror movie' as injured children were carried outside by emergency workers. Merseyside Police officers detained a man and seized a knife. The force urged people to avoid the area but said there was 'no wider threat' to the public. The spree left one child dead in the quiet seaside town, the Liverpool Echo reported.

Does anyone ever feel things in the U.K. are becoming more like other parts of the world? (Particularly the more violent war-torn parts of the world)
Crimes like this are becoming almost commonplace. Like once a year. Gang street stabbings are becoming almost commonplace in parts of London, and even happening in some other cities.
If we're honest, we all know things like this didn't happen in the early 1990s. But today it's almost not even big news.
