Religion believes in restraining human nature.
Capitalist rewards himself for being human.
Religious person punishes everybody else for it.
Integrating these functions we have the following result:
Capitalism = most are rewarded.
Religion = most are punished.
As I would have replied to Milton Friedman, "Never, if you don't start looking."
His career was built on getting people to be cynical and to respect greed.
