Actually I am an extreme rightist depending on my mood. I am certainly not a lefty.

precious smecious I just want some balance, It doesn't have to be him necessarily, just a rightist int he group would be nice...otherwise it runs the risk of being simple written masturbation.

but I guess some people enjoy that kind of thing...

Nope, DF is an anarchist.

Meh, that was before the anarchist club-house invaded this forum. I dissociated myself with anarchism.

So where are you now? (Politically)

Bah. I always said I was a "closet anarchist". I only preached for its ideals, but I knew that it was a preposterous system to suggest for a modern world.

In real life, in praxis, I am a classic Manchester liberal.

Okay. This poll is closed.

The judges, as elected, are:

DF
Maxim
Al-Alim
Boon
Jaakko

Congrats!

I'm not going to be kicking al-alim off the panel before he's even had a chance to prove himself. And Demo, I wouldn't worry so much about the 'bias' of the elected judges. I think that the majority of those elected are well capable of asscessing an argument objectively - but that being said, you can rest assured that if I see any unreasonable biases at work, then I will take an appropriate action to resolve the issue.

Judges: your first task is to please review the argument presented in the now concluded Liberals vs Libertarians debate, and PM your vote to me along with a short synopsis of what drove you to vote as you did, as well as any additional commentary on the debate that you'd like to volunteer (if any). These 'reviews' will then be compiled and posted to the completed debate thread, thereby announcing the winner and allowing the participants to have feedback on their efforts. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, you need not discuss the debate with one another before making your decision - although you are welcome to doso if you feel it is necessary.

I will be sending each of you a PM elaborating on your responsibilites, and the proceedure.

And just as a reminder to anybody who happens to be reading the thread;

There is an upcoming debate on the Morality of Abortion (for or against). We still need (i believe) one person to argue in favor of the legality and practice of abortion, and a few people to argue against it.

Persons interested in arguing in favor of abortion should contact the team lead, socialist-BLUE-gonzo via PM.

Persons interested in arguing against abortion should contact the team lead, Noumenon via PM.
