Here in the United States of America, the political palaver about recent instances of children being shot to death in school has claimed much space in the press, on TV, and on social 'net platforms such as this one. There's all manner of back and forth about AR-15's and arming teachers. Were it not so tragic, it would be funny.

A few facts to consider are these:

- For children in the US, gunshot is one of the top causes of death.

- Children's deaths by gunshot in schools accounts for 2% of the total.

- Children's deaths by gunshot in the home accounts for 85% of the total.

Thus, the topic heading for this post.
