I am considering a switch to IDEN cellphones - MYRS for locals. Can anyone offer up feedback?

P.S. The IDF supposedly uses these extensively, hence WA's input would be much appreciated.

It's used for most personal, non-essential communication. It's very, very cheap, but the phones themselves are pretty crappy, and reception is awful (maybe it improved, I don't know).

If you got a very good deal, it's worth looking into... otherwise, go with mainstream companies.
