Iraq sits between Iran and the Saudi, and it's been hammered by us. If we let the ME boil over, Iraq will get turned into hamburger. Again.
There is one thing going in their favor, the Saudi can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag. So a land war may not be in the cards. Iran is usually on the receiving end, already control a big chunk of Iraq, and invading the Saudi is not their style (their military focuses on defense). And the the Saudi just can't. It doesn't matter how good their toys are, they're useless at most things.
But the indirect stuff could still wind up being really bad for Iraq. Think what happened to Syria...
Anyway, it was interesting.
